Eaten Tandoori food on five continents so really excited about the one star Michelin restaurant. Would come back if in London.
1. Great Indian food
The first? Indian cuisine restaurant with a Michelin star, apparently. I had the tasting menu and really enjoyed it, except perhaps for the dessert but never been into Indian food deserts. The lamb chops were exquisite.
2. Excellent service and nice venue
No problem booking on Open Table the same day. Service excellent and beautiful “classic style” setting.
3. How could it be more?
Presentation of the dishes did not dazzle. Seen better at Master Chef. The dishes are not experimental. Which is not necessarily a bad thing but likely prevents a second Michelin star. It is fine-dining Indian cuisine. Highly enjoyable but has had the flavors at other restaurants but without this level of service. There is also Tamarind kitchen places. I have not tried them.
