Visited here as a couple on Saturday night at 10pm after pre booking our table. No waiting around. Great service, friendly staff and excellent food. Reasonably priced. However, the waiter with the glasses taking drinks orders needs to cheer up a bit !

Visited late on Saturday evening (4th Nov) in a party of 6. Received a warm welcome and excellent service. Food arrived in a timely manner but we were not rushed even though we were still eating past closing time. All 6 of us enjoyed our food and will definitely visit the restaurant again when next in Whitby.

Went here last Thursday night and after reading the awful reviews was a bit apprehensive, however it was a wet night and it was central so we gave it a go. This place will never win any national curry awards, and we found the staff lining up in the reception quite spooky, but I've got to say the curry wasn't bad. On the absolute plus side they served quite possibly the best garlic nan bread that I've ever tasted ....a curry house that can certainly be used in an emergency [as Basil Fawlty would say ]

Nice place when you first get in there but don’t be fooled by the appearance.
We were shown to a table and asked if we wanted drinks and then if we wanted papadums we asked for 4 which appeared within seconds so we’re obviously bought in and not freshly made.
After 15 mins or so the waiter reappeared to take our order (chicken Jalfrezi, duck Jalfrezi, a Keema naan, mushroom fried rice and Bombay potato the waiter walked away before the word ‘potato’ was finished.
Before long the ‘food’ appeared in very small portions. The food lacked colour and to be honest looked like a load of chunky onion and green pepper with a bit of colourless sauce on and a few pieces of meat thrown in.
The taste experience matched the look of the food bland tasteless and dull with very little ‘kick’
The naan had very little meat in the middle and was tiny the rice was ok
Void this place if you like a good curry
1/10 and that’s being generous!
