“Best museum for a long time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2012

This was a great day out. Stepped back in time from a few hundred years ago up into the 90s in some parts. if your going to York this is a must. Takes a good half a day.

“Good but not the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2012

The museum is arranged as a path and it has to be followed. We were able to skip some things that were not all that interesting, but generally the experience was good.

“Brilliant Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2012

Sometimes musem's can be a little dry and uninteresting, but this museum is certainly not in that category. It is well positioned near the centre of York, and access to it also includes the next door debtors prison, and riverside mill. Perhaps the highlight of the museum is the city street, which was built by moving old buildings from Yok into the musem where they were rebuilt...a particular favourite of mine is the old chemists shop!

“Fantastic museum”

Loved the Victorian street and the exhibits through the decades. A lovely museum with interesting elements such as the Prison and examples of toys through the ages.
