Good location however whenever a bus drove down the road which was every half hour the room literally shook, thought it was an earth tremor first time round. Thin walls and Wetherspoons next door attracts noise late night and early hours.
Friendly staff. Room and sheets/towels clean.
Bath sloped so have to be very careful when showering.

Had a lovely time in York. Staff at the Travelodge were just great. Nothing was too much trouble for them. (We’ve stayed here a couple of times here last year). So knew what to expect. With Wetherspoons next door, it’s definitely a MUST for us. . Thanks once again Travelodge.

Stayed for two nights, room itself was comfortable but extractor fan in bathroom was constantly on so not a very good night sleep.Even with bathroom door closed it was loud.Told reception staff about this but he didn't seem to care.He said he would get it sorted. This never happened.Ive stayed at many Travelodges but this was the worse.Nice wetherspoons next door though.

The Travelodge is situated over a city Wetherspoons so expect a lot of noise. Which to be fair is posted on the website. Its also on a main route into York itself so road noise can be an issue. The room we stayed in was poorly maintained and the bed/mattress was past its best too. There was a good TV in the room, and a portable fan. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was nearly empty. We picked this Travelodge purely for the price and comparing it with other "Travel" hotels in the area its a lot cheaper, and its obvious now why that is. But to be fair overall it was clean, sanitised, and someone was onsite 24 hrs a day for any assitance. If you dont mind the noise and simply want somewhere to rest your head after a night in York, its fine.

Room tip: rooms facing the road will have the the worse of the noise.
