The toilets opposite reception were rather dirty on my visit. I don't think they are checked very often.

Nice hotel, close to city centre, close to good food, and just down the road from the quantest cinema ever

Room Tip: Only thing is the car parking which is around the back

its really close to the city centre, helpful friendly staff and Premier Inn just have the best beds! For the price, its an absolute bargain! Watch the car park, though. It used to be free, now it's £8.50 a day (if you can find a space)

Travelled here by rail and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk away so really handy. The location is great for getting out and about round York. The rooms were not as large as other Premier Inns I have stayed in but we had everything we needed and the rooms were spotlessly clean. We didn't eat at the hotel - had breakfast at Wetherspoons over the road and ate at different places around York, plenty of choice.

As ever cannot fault the comfy beds and pillows at Premier Inn.

We have just stayed three nights at this hotel. Initially went to the "other" one just a few doors up the street, have to say that seems to be better set out with obvious reception etc. Reception in this one is through Costa. We had a great stay once we moved to a room in the back of the set up. There are three blocks of rooms, initially we were given one facing the busy road, on the 1st floor with no lift, but asked to move to a quiet room which was "out the back", lovely and quiet and a lift too. Room was large and well maintained and clean with usual coffee etc. Location is great, close to Railway Station and not too far to get into town. Fair sized car park out back but prices bit high, £8.50 a day. If you go to this hotel by car best to travel beyond Blossom Street into Queens Street and pull into carpark a couple of hundred yards down on the left then go into hotel from back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in block 2 if you want peace and quiet.

Stayed 2 nights in this comfortable inn, when we got to leave we had car trouble, the young man on the desk, not only helped start our car, he gave us a map to help us on our way to Goathorpe, and went out of his way to help. Unfortunately forgot to ask his name, but he is a great asset to this hotel
