on arrival we asked what time breakfast was on Sunday morning to be told you were not doing breakfast.
We booked your hotel as we had a long 6 hour journey on the Sunday and wanted to start with a good breakfast.
On your website it says breakfast is £9.50 per person and gives the times for breakfast. We would suggest you
update yours website to account for changes in the service due to Covid.
To get a decent breakfast on a Sunday morning was impossible near you as nowhere opens before 10am.
We booked through the Reception a "table near the window" in the RESTAURANT, only to find out when we got to the
restaurant that it was CLOSED. We had to eat in the Bar, why were we not told this when we booked the table or we
might have chosen to go to a nearby Restaurant. The cost of the food and drinks was acceptable for a Restaurant but
very expensive for a bar meal.
SUPERIOR ROOM, we paid £50 for the superior room, booking on the Friday for the Saturday. Speaking to other
guests booking on the Saturday they had paid £21. The attached photos will show you (and TRIP ADVISOR) the
state of the balcony of this SUPERIOR ROOM.
An old milk bottle with stale milk in it, empty beer cans, stubs of cigarettes, a dirty mop, weeds growing on the terrace etc.
Obviously despite your inroom notice advising how clean you were in line with Covid this balcony has not been cleaned for months.
The stain on the rug, and others on the carpet have also obviously been there for a very long time. We also had to wash one of the cups before using as was filthy.
The only good point was the barman who was also serving the food, he was excellent despite being run off his feet as the only one on duty for food and drink.
Have photos of the filthy balcony should anyone require them
