Stayed here whilst visiting my hometown. When I arrived the owner couldn’t find my booking [booked online]. Found him unwelcoming and robotic. Given a key and found my room down a freezing corridor and up some stairs. Room was cold and dreary no pictures on walls and the bedding looked old and worn. Kept expecting the heating to come on during the evening but it didn’t. Eventually had to get into bed to keep warm whilst watching tv. Breakfast was acceptable. Will not be returning in future.

We stayed just one night at this hotel and found that it met all our needs. The welcome and the breakfast were really good. Maybe the hotel needs modernising a little , but I would recommend The Langham hotel for anybody staying in Northampton for a short time.

I stayed in room 1. The room itself was dated but perfectly fine for my needs. Clean and good shower in the en-suite. The major downside of this room is that's it right next to the front door so I was repeatedly woken up by people coming and going and ringing the bell. Around 11pm the bell was going and I heard the owner answer to a male who was looking for his mother who had apparently come to the hotel with 2 men. The male then threatened to start smashing windows. Another male came along and apparently the two knew one another and then left. I'm not sure what sort of guests this place has but being a lone female I was really quite scared by what I could hear. Let's just say I did not sleep well!
Breakfast cheap and cheerful but the toast and poached eggs were perfectly find
For the price I paid I guess I should have known what to expect. Would I return? No way.
