Amanda is a wonderful host, who offers the warmest of welcomes. The rooms with their en-suite bathrooms are spacious, well-equipped, pretty and very comfortable and include in most cases a beautiful open art nouveau fireplace. Amanda has a Cordon Bleu background and provides an excellent breakfast. The house is extraordinary, tall, rambling and quite arts and crafts, and looks onto the old racecourse.
There is a gym and hot tub and a garden too. I doubt whether you can do better in Northampton.

I booked with Amanda at Ambles from December 2020 until March 2020 for repeat visit to Northampton during a filming I was doing for a TV show. We were a 4 people crew with long working hours who booked the whole place every time. Amanda and her dog Trudy are just the best hosts. They are welcoming, friendly, and go above and way way way beyond to make you feel at home. Some days we had to leave at 5 am and Amanda would always prepare a breakfast for us the day before even when I told her we didn't expect it. She is a wonderful cook who not only served us the best breakfast but also invited us a few times to dinner and it was amazing. She also welcomes you with home-made cakes that are all excellent. The rooms are quite big, the facilities are clean and beautiful, the house is huge and beautiful. The beds are comfy. Honestly there were no downside, and as a filming crew we are quite a demanding / annoying guest as a whole and Amanda never complained and was always supportive and amazing. We loved coming back and we would come back again anytime!!!
