What an awesome place, I loved everything about it. The accommodation was great, - the bed comfortable and towels soft and fluffy. The service in the bar and restaurant were great. Dinner was superb, as was breakfast. I would come back here again without hesitation.
I booked an overnight stay based on convenience and value for money. The hotel is traditional snd very nice, my room was not fancy, but was clean and functional with a good shower. The food was good and the whole experience was positive. It is worth noting that there is a train line very close by, so there is trsin noise until late at night and early in the morning, so if you are a light sleeper, this may not be a good choice.
Great place, good food and handy for the M1. Food is excellent! But what makes the place stand out are the staff. V friendly, helpful and chatty. Recommend the cheese board and a bottle of wine in bed!
My 1st visit to the walnut tree inn and decided to stay after a wedding function. Beautiful wedding venue and the food & staff cannot be faulted. We had a room which faced the front of the building and onto the main railway line. Suffice to say it was noisy and did disturb our sleep and we are generally heavy sleepers. The room we had was large with comfy beds (small double and a single) as well as room for wardrobe (includes plenty of non slip hangers) and desk. The bathroom was large and clean. Shower worked well although had to let shower run a few minutes to warm up. The towels were nice and fluffy. I’m on the fence whether I would return as a sleeping guest again but would definitely return for a nice meal in a lovely country pub (which includes lovely beer garden).
Stayed here for one night whilst visiting Silverstone. Nice and easy journey by car to the circuit took approx 20 minutes. Check in and check out were very efficient. My room at the back of the hotel was ideal and trains did not bother me. Good parking space too in the car park to rear. Bar, restaurant and beer garden very nice. Would have given 5 stars but evening meal and breakfast were a little disappointing. I would still visit again.
