The poplars from start to finish was excellent in every aspect. The one downside was the heat it was far to hot (but a decent fan was provided) Check in was easy Susan is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We went for Moto Gp 30mins away but would use here again. The rooms were decent size, nicely decorated and clean. Bed very comfortable. Shower very small but refreshing on hot days. Breakfast was fabulous plenty of choice.

I had to move out of my home due to extensive building work for 2 weeks. Susan and her team made me feel very welcome and at home here. Having had breakfast cooked for me every day it will be a shock to have to cook it myself.
Thank you Poplars for being so welcoming.

We stayed in a variety of rooms all are spacious and comfortable. There is tea and coffee making facilities bottled water and also an electric fan in every room. There is a comfortable sitting room with a small fridge microwave plates and cutlery for guests to use. Outside there is also a small seating area in the garden. I made an error when booking but the staff phoned me and sorted it for me. All the staff are very friendly and helpful even phoning to check we were ok when we were late for our check in. The breakfast was delicious tasty with a good variety of choice. We will definitely stay here again

Room tip: Situated in the centre of village Even though rooms overlook the road sleep is not disturbed by noise

We had the most lovely stay at the poplars. My friends and I stayed the night here for a wedding. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome by Susanne. The whole place including our rooms is so clean and immaculate. Take it from a group of intensive care nurses when we say it’s pristine! The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed including tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. Susanne was full of great recommendations for places to eat too! Breakfast was perfect. Cereal, fruit, toast, yogurt and a lovely cooked breakfast or porridge should you wish. Nothing was too much trouble. Susanne even kindly called me and posted my blazer that I left in the wardrobe. Thank you for Susanne and bravo for pleasing a group of divas with different wants and needs out of a stay. It was superb!

Very friendly and chatty host, a nice breakfast, and a quiet place (apart from the unavoidable banging doors). Unfortunately the toilet was dirty, pillow case covered in grey marks, toiletries were those cheap and nasty stuck to the wall ones, and my husband banged his head 4 times because the entire second floor is in the eaves with low slanted ceilings. When we left in the morning the housekeeping was happening and lots of bedding and towels were strewn down the two flights of stairs, bit precarious!

Room tip: If you're taller or larger than "average", you might struggle with the second floor, low slanted ceilings and very compact en suite
