This is one of my fave places to visit. Popped in for a couple of cocktails and ended up having some tapas too.
The atmosphere was fab, really chilled the decor really comes into its own at night dead cosy and fab service as always.
Opted for some prosecco cocktails which were lovely and the falafel dish really tasty and the prawns were to die for, the batter was light and melted in your mouth with delicious fresh prawns and chilli dip. We also had some crusty bread with balsamic and olive oil dip.
Having only popped in for a quick drink and stayed for more drinks and food says it all.

Looking for somewhere to eat 6.00pm on a Saturday evening driving north out of Nottingham we stopped at the Crimson Tree in Sherwood. WOW. A friendly " you can have a table until 7.30pm then we're fully booked. Great service without being rushed, really great food all in a great setting. What's not to like when people get it exactly right. I'll be back with a reservation......

We are regulars - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food has always been superb and consistent. We particularly loved the tapas.

However over the last few months, there have been staff changes and changes to the tapas menu which resulted in our experiences at Crimson Tree less enjoyable than they used to be.

The staff last night was probably new but it was very slow even though it wasn’t busy and the service was really awkward. It seemed there weren’t any senior staff there either. Hopefully proper training over time will sort this...

The bigger issue for us was the last 2 tapas menus haven’t been as good as they used to be. It’s still decent but the standard has fallen below where it used to be. Perhaps a rejig of the menus?
