Really interesting museum covering many world cultures and also a great art gallery. Easy to navigate and big enough to have lots to see without being overwhelming.
Well worth a visit.

The Ashmolean has an exceptional collection and beautifully presented. The collection is of the highest quality. The layout I’d inviting and engaging and the very helpful staff could not be better.

Beautifully laid out and presented. Treasures from all over the world, many civilizations over many centuries. We were only there for an hour, having limited time in Oxford, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Turner, Gainsborough, Renoir, Manet, Millais and Burne-Jones all appear here with many other stunning artworks. Interspersed with sculptures, porcelain and so much more. Just along from Waterstones it's easy to get to and near to lots of bars and restaurants.

Great museum, would highly recommend a visit, especially if the weather is not so good. Plus it's free and easy to find, right across from The Randolph, so when you finish pop into The Morse Bar!
