Without going into too much detail we had an unexpected visit to the Radclifffe Hospital in Oxford and were told to come back the next morning for the results of extensive tests so we had to find a place to stay the night. Naturally I went on to Tripadvisor and up popped the Remont, about ten minutes from the hospital and roughly 120 quid for a double room and breakfast, last minute booking, not much choice, how bad could it be?
The Remont is kind of a cross between a hotel and a B&B which I don't think is a bad thing by any means, just an observation, it seems to have taken the best points of both and put them together rather well.
We were greeted by the delightful Gabriella who could not have been more friendly and helpful and as well as sorting out a problem with the wifi in no time at all, she also helped us choose a local restaurant so we could get some dinner without having to drive anywhere.
The room wasn't overly spacious but was perfectly adequate with a nice bathroom and the whole place was spotlessly clean.
The bed was super comfortable, we both slept very well and after a nice cup of tea in the room we went for the complimentary breakfast which was delicious and hadn't been sitting under a heat lamp for three hours, unlike many hotels that are much more expensive.
I would happily stay here again anytime, hopefully without a visit to the local hospital!

I was impressed with the kindness of the staff and clean rooms. The location on Banbury road is a 20 min fast walk (30 min at a slow pace) from the city center. There is a bus that takes you to there as well although we did not use it. We arrived the morning after our intended check in because our flight was severely delayed and the manager went out of her way to bring a light breakfast to our room. That was one of the kindest things I have experienced at a hotel. I had the full breakfast the next morning and it was great too. Otherwise our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was well fitted and there were no problems with noise even though we were on a major road. This hotel has free parking which is a bonus. I would strongly recommend this to anyone visiting Oxford.

Just returned from one night stay at The Remont. This is an excellent property with polite efficient and helpful staff. The rooms are all areas are clean and very well maintained with all amenities of a good standard. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a superior double room for one night. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean.
The whole hotel is very modern inside and has a very nice feel to it.
We know Oxford well and the location of the Remont is good; out of the city centre and relatively quiet but with numerous bus stops on the Banbury road it takes 5 to 10 minutes into the centre once you’ve hopped on one.
Staff at the hotel were very very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
Would definitely stay here again.

A bit out of Oxford along the Banbury Road, this place was well furnished, clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was in a purpose built spacious Scandinavia style extension with a good choice of breakfast . The coffee was a bit disappointing but otherwise everything was very good.
