Stayed here for the 2nd time (last time 2005!) but little has altered to the historic buildings with all their charm etc.
Due to my partner being her b'day, we had been upgraded to a better room which was a lovely surprise. All very clean and tidy in hotel with staff very pleasant and helpful.
Had evening meal on the Sunday night, choose from their new brasseria menu, which was well cooked and good quality - you had to purchase your side dishes as extra (which is a bit cheeky IMO).
Breakfast - Went down around 8am and was excellent with usual good choice of cereals, fruit, juices, toast etc. We also had a cooked breakfast from the menu and this was delivered very quick along with tea etc (no slowness as stated by other reviewers). We even asked some other people staying in a larger party who went down later if they had any issues with slowness of service and they didn't either.
Thought the charge of £10 to park your car in their car park was very cheeky!
Overall good stay and we would happily stay here again.More
