“Good clean hotel but very poor breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2012

Stayed here for three nights, found it to be clean and comfortable and better standard of rooms than other low cost hotels. Nice comfy bed, very clean room with nice decor. However, the breakfast was very poor indeed. On the first morning I tried the porridge which was grey and awful with massive lumps. The tea had an odd taste and the cooked food looked unappealing. I let the staff know about the porridge and received apologies but it was the same on the second morning. On my last morning I asked for poached eggs and after a long wait was I received was overcooked, cold and inedible. the waitress was clearly embarrassed by what she had brought but by then I had waited so long I didnt send it back. I ordered a burger in the evening but had to go down to the bar and collect it to take it back upstairs to my room. Standing waiting for the lift with a big tray of food was not my expectation but at least the burger was a bit better than the breakfast. The food really is a huge let down to an otherwise good hotel. However, as food is an essential part of a hotel experience I would hope they get it sorted.

Room Tip: I asked for a nice room but aparently they are all the same

I stayed here with friends when Notts County were playing and felt the hotel room was lovely and staff were friendly. I went shopping whilst everyone else went to football and found everything I needed in walking distance.

my husband and I stayed in Jurys during a trip to the World championship snooker. its an excellent location as it is about a short 5min walk to the crucible. The staff are what it an excellent choice-all are so friendly and helpful. the rooms are very comfortable and there was no noise at night which was excellent considering the city centre location. if you book breakfast the evening before you get a discount-excellent choice of hot and cold foods available. great bar food menu available and again wonderful staff.

We travelled here a couple of weeks ago and stayed for two nights. The room was well equipped and beds very comfortable. All staff were pleasant, both duty receptionist's were exceptional. They offer a substantial discount on the moor car park diagonnally opposite. The breakfasts were excellent food was both filled and rotated very efficiently. Staff were willing to help and cleared the tables very quickly whilst away at the buffet. I would definately recommend this place.

This hotel is in a great location, being only about 10 minutes walking distance from the Crucible Theatre which holds the World Snooker Championships. The double room we stayed in had two beds, one a small double and the other a single bed and was very clean and comfortable.Bathroom had an over-bath shower which was great! We heard no noise at all from other guests and this was a busy time in Sheffield with the Snooker Championships taking place.. Great breakfasts, plenty of good, fresh fruit and cereal as well as an excellent choice of traditional "fry-ups". Being self-service you can have as much or as little as you want. The room was spotless, all public areas really well kept and spotless too. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again next time I go to Sheffield and highly recommed to all snooker fans. 10 out of 10 on every level.

Room Tip: I would advise booking for breakfast when making your reservation as this can save you money and it...
