We had a delicious lunch in this really quirky tea room. It's lovely to see crisp white tablecloths that make the place look very classy. The service was great. A very friendly place that's full of good old fashioned character and charm. Would definately recommend.

Afternoon Tea here is delicious. The portions are generous and every component is to be savoured. The rooms are up a set of tight/steep stairs and are quite small but SO pleasant! Make sure you have a mooch in the downstairs shop too as they have some lovely items and a fantastic cheese counter!

Service was superb and the tea and cakes were incredible! There is sitting upstairs and down so don't be discouraged by the entrance!
Lots of quirky details and character.

I asked for a traditional English high tea for my American family visitors. Nothing was too much trouble; sandwiches, cakes and desserts were fresh, varied and utterly delicious. The room was beautiful and the table so pretty with the bone china and fresh flowers. Adults were charmed and children awestruck into best table manners. A forgotten jumper brought to us by Sarah on the Iron bridge. What service! And what a fine memory for taking back to the USA from their last day in the UK. Thank-you!
