Really enjoyed the location and attitude of staff. B&B is in Georgian townhouse. Nice rooms, with very good breakfast. Location just a few hundred yards to start of all key sites. Parking was organised with permits making the logistics vey easy.

What a lovely place to stay. Everything was first class. The hotel was beautifully presented and clean. The breakfast was superb. It was such a relief not to be in a big name, branded, impersonal hotel. Very highly recommended. A real treat.
It was easy to walk to all of the major sights. We thoroughly enjoyed the Majors free walking tour.

Stayed at the Kennard for 3 nights during Bath half. One of the best hotel experiences I've had. Mary and Giovanni were very accommodating and the breakfast was amazing. Excellent selection of fresh coffee at breakfast and there was a good selection of waters, coffees and teas in the room too. I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and it was always spotless and very clean. Recommend 100%

We had three nights here. Normally we pick out the big brand hotels like Hilton or MacDonald, but chose the Kennard to try out a small hotel instead. We really enjoyed our stay. The attention to detail in the decor and the service is astonishing. Giovanni and Mary spare no effort to make this a great experience and are excellent hosts.

Location is often difficult to relate, but all the key attractions are very walkable (eg Royal Terrace, Roman Baths). The restaurants we chose were Circus, Jamie's Italian and the Green Park Brasserie. All walkable, even in the cold March evenings.

We will look no where else for our next trip to Bath.

I chose this hotel for convenience - it is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing locations and close to the train station - and got a lovely hotel as part of the deal. I chose the garden-level room to avoid stairs, but ended up with a full flight (they did help with bags, though). But the room itself was cozy, and the space was well-used - the TV was high on the wall, for optimized viewing from the bed, for example.

The full breakfast was as beautiful to look at, when served, as it was tasty to eat. I was introduced to some chutneys that went well with the meat, and took away a thermos of tea to last me the morning while I wandered around town. When I reported that I couldn't get the room warmed up, they immediately went down to the room and fiddled with the controls until it worked.

As an aside, if you're in a ground floor room, the toilet flush sign of "flush and hold" isn't quite accurate. It should say "pump and hold" (as the water tank is above the ceiling). I learned that if an answer isn't satisfactory, keep asking until the right person knows the answer!

And best of all, the price range is entirely reasonable! I'd definitely go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: The top floor rooms have a nicer view.

We chose Bath as a place to spend our first three nights as a married couple and 'The Kennard' made the stay even more special. Throughout our stay, both Giovanni and Mary were very welcoming and the champagne and chocolates in our room was a very kind addition. The blue room was a lovely room and very comfortable and the breakfast had much choice and was delicious. Great location, walking distance from the city centre and a car permit provided if street parking required

Room Tip: Stayed in the ground floor superior room, front of the hotel, near to reception, but not too noisy

We stayed at the Kennard Hotel in February 2012 for 1 night. The location for exploring Bath was excellent. The breakfast was of the highest standard as were all the facilities. The owners were very obliging and helpful with parking facilities even though we checking out.Probaly one of the quietest hotels we have stayed in.
