“Wonderful luxurious B & B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2012

This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful B & B and again did not disappoint. The hosts were most welcoming and made you feel right at home immediately. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. Molton Brown products a lovely touch. Hospitality tray in our room was replemished daily and there was fresh milk should you require you only had to ask. The beds were so comfortable it made it difficult to get up in the morning! only the thought of the breakfast made it that bit easier! Breakfast - had everything you could possibly wish for, you could have as little or as much as you wanted. We certainly didnt need lunch after the wonderful breakfast. Fried breakfast was perfect no grease and top quality produce. We would not bother to look anywhere else when we know we will get perfection here. We have told many of our friends about this place we just hope that it wont be fully booked when we next want to visit!

Staying at hotel "139" is an experience in pampering. From the welcome tea or coffee on arrival, to the luxurious rooms and the wonderful and varied breakfast. No reception as such, rather a genial host couple who show you to your rooms and are available for any information you may need or to book tickets, taxis or spa visits. It's a bit more expensive, but most hotels in Bath are, and you really get value for money. It is about 10mins walk from the city centre, and on the way back it is quite a steep climb. (A taxi will set you back about £5!)

Room Tip: All rooms are good; the cheapest one is perhaps a little small for a couple staying with a larger am...

Wonderful B&B within walking distance to downtown Bath. Staff very attentive. Very clean room and beautiful facilities. My only regret is that we had to leave very early the morning for a trip to Stonehenge and couldn't enjoy the breakfast. We were left a tray of breakfast items, however, that we could enjoy on our trip there. MUCH appreciated! Just sad we couldn't spend another day or two there. Oh, and did I mention the very spacious room and bath facilities? Brilliant!

Room Tip: No elevator so ask for a lower floor if you don't want to haul your suitcase upstairs. Or pack...

Such a lovely B&B! Breakfast lovely, beds very comfortable, hosts great and very welcoming. Would love to come back.Only a few niggling negatives. 1. Shower cubicle floor very slippy - rubber mat would have been helpful. 2. Room 3 would have benefitted from insulation around door. Most upstairs residents had to pass ours and were quite noisy at times. Quite a simple problem easily resolved (at night lying in bed could easily see light on landing around door). 3. Molton Brown products great - hair shampoo, shower gel and handwash but no hair conditioner! After reading previous reviews did not pack any and struggled to get comb through my hair. Bought some from Molton Brown shop in town.

This is one of the best B&Bs I have been in here in the UK! One Three Nine is a beautiful mansion. The owners were gracious and welcoming. The rooms were amazing with DVD players (discs available for loan downstairs), Molton Brown cleansing products, bath robes, rain shower heads, and little biscuits to go with the tea and coffee. They even had a collection of menus of local restaurants available in our room. And they offer spa packages with spas in town. There is free WiFi and a computer for guests to use. The attention to detail is phenomenal. As expected, the breakfast was scrumptious! This is a world-class B&B near a World Heritage site. We stayed only one night, but we will definitely return for more!

Located about a good 15 minute walk from the city centre and railway station on the other side of the river, this bed and breakfast is in an impressive older house surrounded by an attractive garden. Inside, the whole place has been renovated in a very chic and upmarket modern style so it feels much more like a boutique hotel than someone's house.
The owners are wonderfully warm and helpful, always willing to make suggestions and help out. It was great to feel so pampered!
The room was very spacious with excellent and extremely comfortable and new-feeling beds, a flat-screen TV with DVD player (they have a DVD library downstairs), and the most spacious bathroom we had at any of the places we stayed on this trip. Though we didn't need it, we noted that there was also air conditioning.
There is an computer with internet (rather slow) for guests' use on the main floor and WIFI.
The breakfasts in the sunny dining room were also the best we had on this trip. There is a beautifully laid out buffet of cold items and drinks, and one orders from a great selection of hot items. Their cheerful staff provided excellent service, and to me were another indication of the great management at this B&B.
My overall impression is that the owners had stayed in many many B&Bs and when opening this one had aimed to provide everything one could possibly want during their stay. When we were there, the B&B was full and, truly, ALL of the guests there seemed so delighted with place and the hosts.
Highly recommended.

We got the room on the ground floor , it was so nice ! Kind of room you wish you had in your own house. It was not luxurious , but really cosy , high celiings ,good sunlight , had a little nice radio playing in the background , molton brown products in the bathroom ( you only find these in really good hotels ) .

The host were really friendly , the breakfast was in a nice brightly lit area , good choices.

The location if you dont drive I guess can be a little out of the way since its on a hill , we drove so it wasnt an issue.

We felt it was better than crowne plaza which we stayed in London.

Room Tip: We had a bit of luggage , so taking the room on the ground floor was a great idea! no noise at all.
