“Perfect cosy cottage with a very friendly warm welcome.”
Reviewed April 25, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Enjoyed a relaxed and interesting week in Moonstone Cottage with my family this Easter. Katarina the owner gave us a lovely warm welcome explaining about the cottage and surrounding area.A bowl full of treats awaited us in the kitchen- chocolates, wine and fruit. The cottage had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises over the tor from the bedroom window and the back garden overlooks the abbey grounds. Lots of interesting places to visit less than half an hour away - Wells, Yeovil Air Arm Museum, Cheddar Gorge. Highly recommend Burns Bakery and Knight's fish and chip restaurant in Glastonbury.
Highly recommend this spotless cottage and would certainly book again if heading this way in the future.

“The friendliest cottage in the world”
Reviewed March 27, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stay from Saturday 21 to Tuesday 24 March 2015, for my partner's 30th birthday. Katarina very kindly hung up some birthday bunting I posted up beforehand, and even left a bottle of fizz, some chocolates and a birthday card.

I really can't say enough good things! Moonstone Cottage is beautiful, Katarina and David are friendly, lovely, generous people. The location is right in the middle of town, and so near the Tor.

The bed was super comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed to make food, and there were candles and lamps and cushions and lovely things to look at. What a gorgeous place!

“Cozy home away from home in the heart of mystical Glastonbury”
Reviewed March 21, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Moonstone cottage is a quiet, peaceful retreat in the midst of the bustling village of mystical Glastonbury. Everything you could possibly need is here at the cottage with a well stocked kitchen and games, toys and movies for the whole family.

The garden is especially peaceful and beautiful. There are two areas to sit out, one of them on a raised platform overlooking the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey.

There are fresh flowers and lots of candles as well as a working fireplace to add to the ambience of the cottage.

Katarina is an absolutely wonderful hostess. She is right next door and was very helpful with suggestions on the best places to go, how to get there and the best way to go about things. She left us a lovely welcoming basket with treats that we all enjoyed very much. Thank you Katarina!

“The most well equiped, idyllic sweetest little cottage eveer!”
Reviewed January 25, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Stayed here with my mum and sisters for a long weekend break, and we had the most wonderful time! The cottage was an excellent base for exploring lovely glastonbury. So close to town, and the tor and lovely walks. Katarina is the most thoughtful and caring host.. coccys and wine on arrival, and the most scrumptious ginger cake she left us after a long day out. The cottage is so warm and homey with sweet little touches such as candles, books, films, information on surrounding things to do. And the kitchen has everything you need and more! Well impressed.. even a flask so we could take out hot tea on our walks. Will defo be back, the perfect calming escape.

“Perfect in every way. Can't wait to return!”
Reviewed December 15, 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Our family of four had a perfect stay at Moonstone Cottage. From our first email enquiry to (reluctant!) check-out, Katarina was friendly, helpful and professional. We have stayed in dozens of self-catering cottages, and I have nothing but praise for Moonstone: spotlessly clean, perfect location, well-equipped and a warm, serene ambience. The decor is beautiful; not your "typical" holiday cottage... Katarina has clearly endeavoured to create for her guests a true "home away from home". While we enjoyed the warm and cosy atmosphere during our December visit, we are already planning to return in spring or summer so we can appreciate the beautiful garden.

“A beautiful haven created by a beautiful lady”
Reviewed November 19, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We stayed at Moonstone Cottage at a stressful time whilst we negotiated the purchase of a property in Glastonbury. The atmosphere of calm and caring was just what we needed to achieve a sense of peace and well being. Katarina thinks of everything to enhance the pleasure of staying in Glastonbury and in her cottage in particular, from the most practical to the deeply spiritual. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and a delight to prepare meals in. We are seasoned self-caterers and I have never encountered such a good array of pans, for instance. The bed is extremely comfortable and provides an excellent night's sleep, engulfed in a memory mattress. Candles abound and a wood fire is at the ready. Information is provided on many aspects of this wonderful area. The garden is lovely and provides views of the abbey grounds from the upper terrace. The property as a whole is kept spotlessly clean. Katarina herself is absolutely charming and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her and David. They have become firm friends and I am sure they will continue as such when we do finally settle in this beautiful and welcoming town.

“Absolutely charming and cosy”
Reviewed November 9, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Moonstone Cottage is as lovely as its name. Just like Glastonbury there is a spiritual feel about the cottage and garden. Maybe it is because the garden wall is shared with the Abbey grounds. There is a patio table next to the wall which is perfect for enjoying a beverage morning or evening while contemplating the myths, lore, and history of Glastonbury. The cottage is scrupulously clean and well appointed. There is everything you need for a full meal, or a cozy evening of listening to music or watching a movie. Katarina has provided it all.

Moonstone is in a great location. The major attractions are within walking distance as are restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, and shops. There is no need for a car while in Glastonbury, but there is off the street parking infront of the flat if you drive. Glastonbury is only minutes away from Wells and convenient for day trips to the Jurassic coast and the Somerset country side. Katarina has an assortment of brochures and books about Glastonbury that will provide interesting information on the sights and sites. I was fascinated with Chalice Well, the Tor, the Abbey and especially the Arthurian legends and stories of Joseph of Arimethea. The holy thorn tree was even blooming while we were there.

Katarina and her family were very welcoming. We had chocolate and wine waiting upon our arrival. We enjoyed their company, but they honored our privacy as well.
I am looking forward to a return trip. There is no doubt we will stay at Moonstone Cottage.
Everything about Glastonbury and Moonstone Cottage was a delightful surprise.
