“Fantastic cottage with plenty of things to do”
Reviewed September 14, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We booked the Threshing Barn and Apple Barn (next door) for 10 of us plus 2 dogs for a long weekend to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary.

The main Threshing Barn has 4 double bedrooms with room for extra beds too. It is extremely equipped with plenty of pots/pans/crockery etc in the kitchen and books and games available too. The bedrooms are very nice and two have ensuites. The table in the kitchen can seat up to 14 at a push.

We were very lucky with the weather and were able to use the outdoor swimming pool which is well maintained and there are plenty of chairs/sunbeds available. There is also a hot-tub, sauna, table-tennis table, outdoor games and table football.

The cottage is situated on an main road but the gardens are enclosed and so safe for the dogs to run around.

The owners had thought of everything - there was even a light fruit cake waiting for us on arrival! There are 2 refrigerators, a freezer and 2 dishwashers in the Threshing Barn and things like clingfilm, dishwasher tablets, tea-towels, and condiments in the kitchen.

We were very impressed with this cottage and would definitely book again for a family/friends gathering.

“What a fantastic holiday location - perfect”
Reviewed September 8, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We hired Threshing and Apple Barn as there were 12 of us and our dog. They were perfect for us and we congregated in the main barn most of the time but were able to peel off as and when we felt like it. The kitchen table was brilliant and we enjoyed some lovely meals there with three generations from the same family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, fresh and tidy. We also enjoyed some great relaxing moments by the lovely swimming pool. With the hot tub as well the teens to the littlest one (5) were happy. The children were also happy that we were able to bring our dog. The enclosed garden kept her safe too. All in all we had a really brilliant holiday which we will all remember for a lifetime. Gill and Simon we must commend you on a great place. Thanks for a lovely stay

“Property meets varied needs - tranquility, action - all catered for.”
Reviewed August 24, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We were a family group, rented the Threshing Barn and the Apple Barn for a week in July. Half of us live in the USA, and getting together took a lot of planning. The holiday will be remembered for years to come and the Threshing Barn gave us just the right environment. From 5 to 85, everyone had a good time, with younger members loving the pool and the the space to run around, older members able to disappear for a discrete nap at intervals, and those in between with plenty of options for day trips, walks, pub outings. Gill was very helpful - ensured our Tesco shop was delivered safely when we were a bit late arriving, and even thoughtfully put it all away for us. Delicious home made cake much appreciated. Both units were scrupulously clean, beds were comfy. Big kitchen well equipped (borrowed cheese grater from Apple Barn), but please could you add some sharp knives? Our leg of lamb and loin of pork were too much for them.. One of our 20 somethings left something precious behind and Gill very kindly forwarded it. A lovely visit with helpful hosts..

“Perfect for all the family”
Reviewed July 24, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Me my fiancé and our close friends and family, all stayed at little upton the days leading up to my wedding in glastonbury,

When we arrived everything was immaculate and gill had kindly baked us a cake which we thought was lovely.

We had 2 children with us who loved the pool! A wide selection of toys they could play with and DVDs they could watch. The whole place was just perfect for us. The weather was amazing too which showed just how lovely the barn and grounds are.

Gill was so lovely, she came over the day we left (the day of my wedding) with a gift which I thought was so thoughtful. :)

We would defiantly come back again as it's not far from glastonbury town or the festival at all. The only downside was having to clean everything before we left and strip the beds. But apart from that we all loved it here, it felt so homely and comfortable.
