“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed February 8, 2016 for a stay in October 2015

I would highly recommend this cottage. It is in a beautiful location and ideal for a relaxing few days away. The owners were both so welcoming and even had a homemade apple pie ready for us when we arrived. The cottage was clean and tidy and very peaceful. Would definitely visit again.

“The perfect place for a cosy nap”
Reviewed August 1, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We used Nap Cottage to stay off site while attending New Wine, for which it was the perfect location just an easy 15 min drive away from the Shepton Mallet showground. It provided a perfectly cosy little retreat to return to and we slept peacefully and very comfortably.
It was in a lovely location and the gardens surrounding the cottages were beautiful. We would have liked more time to admire them but we were there with an agenda, for which it fitted the bill.
Our only issue was with the lack of kitchen knives for preparing fruit and salad, but an easy thing to address!

“Perfectly peaceful.”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A perfect place to stop for a couple of days break from a long distance walk. Warm and welcoming owners, lovely cottage in a peaceful location and beautiful gardens, a great bath for easing aching bodies and comfortable bed and sofa bed to collapse into! Thoroughly recommend.

“Tour of Wessex”

Cosy cottage which made an excellent base for cycling the Tour of Wessex. Peaceful location within 10 min easy drive of the event. Lots of footpaths from the door for gentle recovery walks. The large kitchen is well equipped. Nice pillows and fluffy towels provided. We enjoyed a lovely nap on the lawn during the sunny afternoon. Thankfully we did not need the laundry facilities but the separate room would have been ideal if the weather had been as bad as last year. There is also a large shed for bike maintenance and storage. Wifi worked as well as any in this part of the world. Great friendly owners.

The only minuses are the sofa and the low ceiling over the shower. Not a problem for average height people but anybody over 6 foot will find these a bit tight. We would happily return.

Thank you for this review. We are glad the cottage met your needs and that the additional facilities on site, enhanced your experience during your brief stay for the Tour of Wessex. Thanks also for drawing our attention to the cushions on the sofa which had slipped, exposing the front support bar of the sofa bed.. We have now adjusted these and the sofa is comfortable again. Afraid we can do nothing about ceiling height over the over bath shower, but it is only an issue for the over 6 foot folk., as you say.
We would be. Delighted to welcome you back at some stage in the future.

“Beautiful cottage.”
Reviewed April 11, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We have stayed at Sleepy Hollow on four occasions now - one summer holiday, two Christmases and Easter. We have stayed at Nap cottage each time. It's a small but beautiful cottage, with a double bed and double sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped (as stated - we managed to cook 2 Christmas dinners in there!) and both kitchen and bathroom are beautifully modern while fitting with the atmosphere of the cottage.

The living room is lovely and has a log-burner - perfect for winter nights! There is also a television and DVD player, so we tend to bring boxsets to enjoy in the evenings.

The cottage is dog-friendly and we were even allowed to exercise our springer spaniel in the attached paddock while the sheep were gone! The garden is mostly enclosed, ideal for dogs.

The location is perfect as a base for exploring Somerset. 15 minutes from Glastonbury, with the Tor, Abbey and Chalice Well, 30 minutes from Cheddar Gorge.

The owners are lovely and extremely friendly, it's always a pleasure to see them again.

I can guarantee we'll be returning to Nap Cottage again!
