Very early spring wasn't the best time to visit but this area offers beauty in every season. The little tea shop was a great place to refresh and warm up. Don't miss reading about and visiting Frieda's grave, a must for dog lovers. I would love to return in the fall when the great fields of heather are blooming!

We visited “Birches” today. It offers a Visitor Centre, inside was a small information centre and history of Cannock Chase along side a café.
We opted for the RAF walk today. We had no idea it used to have its own RAF Camp. This walk was about 2 miles long and was a perfect stroll.
Cannock Chase is a vast area and offers many more walks at various distance to suit all.
Many bike trails also. We will return again, our dog loved it too.

This place is vast and well worth a few visits if you love peaceful walks. Have been several times and still finding new places for walks.
