We visited the Royal Oak today for the first time. The staff was very friendly and the whole three course meal was superb. The price for the meal was very reasonable. It was home cooked and one of the best meals I have had for a long time. Will definitely go there again

Had a lovely dinner at the Royal Oak tonight. All the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the gammon, egg and chips which was really good and a massive portion. Bar area where dogs are permitted is very nice and Oscar was made more than welcome and got lots of pats and attention which is his favourite! View from the beer garden was fab!

We very much are dog friendly in our bar and beer garden areas as long as the customers dogs are friendly. I'm sure our own pub dog Sam came down to you and said hello. Thanks again for the review.

Decided to try this pub as it was recommended by a friend. Didn't book a table but were met by Jasmine who told us that it wasn't a problem. Excellent choice of menu and very reasonable prices. Very welcoming establishment, felt at ease immediately. We were served quickly and efficiently and the food was piping hot (as I like it). Good portions and really tasty. Will be going back again, but they do get very busy so next time will book just to make sure. Would definitely recommend this.

We go fairly often here. The food is always good and there is a really decent "offer menu" for two courses. Even choosing off the normal menu or specials board is not expensive. Good home cooked food in a lovely old pub. We prefer to sit in the bar but there is a sizeable restaurant area too.

This pub is excellent.the food is very good & excellent prices,it is £6.85 for a 2 course meal! The staff are very friendly & work hard as this pub does get very busy so you need to book if you can first, although they do have a bar in the other room if the restaurant is to busy.well worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
