What a lovely home from home house in a perfect location. Beach and all the amenitites you could wish for with the House set just off the highstreet in a quiet location. For us it was chance to unwind and completely relax which is exactly what we got. Some good places to eat for a wide range of budgets. Service at the Aldeburgh fish and chip shop was fantastic. Thanks Emile.
Really hope to visit again sometime soon.

“A Great Weekend in Aldeburgh”
Reviewed May 20, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This property is near the High a Street but is on the secluded Town Steps. Close to good selection of restaurants and pubs. Full cooking facilities provided with lots of cutlery, crockery & glasses. Great to have 3 bathrooms. All rooms very well looked after and clean. Lovely area for walks and shot drives to other towns/villages. Very helpful owners. The Regatta and the Lighthouse restaurants are to be recommended - as well as local fish & chips!

“A festive time at The Red Brick House”
Reviewed January 4, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

If you are looking for a great place to rent with friends or family at any time of the year - although Christmas was particularly lovely - then I recommend the Red Brick House in Aldeburgh. It's a great place to relax and unwind and is deceptively big for 8 people, situated a stone's throw from the high street and the beach with plenty of places to eat and drink (be sure to check out the ever popular chip shops, the fresh fish huts along the front and The White Hart for a pint of the local brew - Adnams). You can walk to Thorpeness in about 40 minutes or take a drive to Southwold or Snape Maltings or Saxmundham for a further taste of all things Suffolk. I recommend this lovely house and will certainly be back.

“Fantastic place to stay just a minute from the sea”
Reviewed September 26, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We had a great long weekend at Red Brick House (September 2014), which has all modern amenities, was very comfortable, very clean and had excellent WiFi (highly valued given the patchy 3G mobile reception in the area).

You can easily park on the Terrace for free (the road just up the steps from the Red Brick House) and take your luggage down the steps, while taking in the fantastic sea view.

The house is set on a quiet and quaint pedestrian street just 20 yards from Aldeburgh's main high street, which has some great boutique shops, an excellent butcher's, a Co-op and not forgeting the famous Aldeburgh fish and chip shop. The latter is at the end of the high street - you can even take your chips and sit in the beer garden of the White Hart pub next door (as long as you buy a drink of course).

The owners of Red Brick House clearly pride themselves on the personal touch. We were greeted with some biscuits and marmalade on the kitchen table when we arrived, and there were basic essential in the kitchen to use as well. When we relaised we'd left our boy's new slippers at the house when we left, the owner was kind enough to return them in the post free of charge - a lovely gesture.

We can recommend Aldeburgh or the Red Brick Hosue highly enough.

“Really lovely!”
Reviewed March 25, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Five of us, all adults, stayed for a 3 day weekend and the house was lovely. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms we had plenty of room , and the spacious lounge was great for our evenings all together. The house was warm and very clean, well equipped with everything you could need, and so nice not to have to take washing up liquid, salt, pepper etc!
The location was perfect, a short hop to the shops and the beach, and everything we wanted was a short drive away (Thorpeness, Snape, The Ship at Dunwich, and the lovely coastal walks). Thank goodness for the wi-fi - Vodafone have NO coverage in Aldeburgh!!
One of the nicest houses we have rented.

“Excellent Cottage in an Ideal Location”

We had a wonderful Christmas stay at The Red Brick House. We had a lovely welcome pack and Christmas tree, it felt like a home from home. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of room for all 8 occupants.
The decor was tasteful and the sofas were very comfortable. There were 4 good spacious bedrooms and very peaceful at night.
The bathrooms were clean and good powerful showers.
We would definitely stay at this cottage again.

“A lovely house in a wonderful location”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

I stayed at the house with three of my children and their partners and two grandsons - aged five weeks and two and a half years - and my 80 year old father. It was a very enjoyable week, house very comfortable and homely, packed with little extras like a tray of t- lights, games, books, everything to make your stay more comfortable and welcoming.
The situation couldn't be better - off the main road but so near to the beach, making early morning jaunts down there with the lively two year old more palatable! Excellent facilities.
