Location: Handy for the A3. We used it as a stop off after the Goodwood Revival meeting.
Ambience: As the title infers, it's a matter of fact stop off type of place. I would imagine some years ago it might have been considered a bit "posh". You get left with the feeling it's a bit overdue for a refurb.
Nuts & Bolts: Don't let the ambience note above put you off though. We found the room to be clean & comfortable & surprisingly quiet. The air-con was a blessing too!
Bar: We ate in the bar & the food was lovely. (That is once we'd been able to order it....the staff were AWOL for what seemed an age, long enough for a queue to form & me to Google the phone number! I was just about to call when somebody popped up. The till system seemed to cause a fair amount of consternation too. But, we all have off days
Breakfast: Really very good, well excellent actually
Other: The express check-out is always welcome. Masses of parking space too.

As I say, it is what it is & does it well

This was a one-night stay en-route to West Sussex. The location is excellent, as although conveniently close to the A3, it was not too noisy. Room & food were both excellent.

Could do with a little more attention to maintenance of room facilities, there were some plumbing issues that could have easily been fixed.

Overall though, very good & would definitely return here again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with out 2 children. My oldest absolutely loved it and yous made us feel very welcome, thank you. Milk and cookies for the kids as well as an activity pack.
The room was clean and tidy and well kept, the only problem was the heat in the room. It had been a warm few days, the air con seemed to do bot all so we all were very hot all night but other than that it was comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent and the chef on the counter was extremely pleasant and happy which was lovely to see, he chatted with my oldest daughter and she seemed happy with that.
The pool is a nice size, i didnt get to use the steam room or sauna, but what i must say is that the changing rooms and pool side could do with a bit of TLC. Theres a white with green horrible bits on, pipe in the changing room and my youngest almost put her mouth round it and the pool side has metal bits coming up off where the water runs in to the drain. I was worried id trip or one of my kids. We all enjoyed the pool though.
Would definitely stay in this hotel again if we were in the area.
