“Great location”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

Room the same as all prem inns. Clean , practical. My usual gripe - not enough milk & coffee for more than 1 person . Why do they do that ??
The layout if hotel is not the best but u get used to it( you have to go up to go down to go up ) u know what I mean if u go there.
Fab location !! Can't fault it . Just across from the waterfront and the RSC theatre . Stratford is lovely we had a great weekend and the superb location of the hotel helped a lot. The sorrento Italian restaurant in sheep street is fab too. Enjoy x

I visit Stratford-Upon-Avon a few times a year to see a play by the RSC. I have been staying at the same two hotels since I can remember and seeing as this was new we decided to give it a try.
Three of us went and it cost us half what it usually would (including £12 parking at an alternative location).
The rooms are light and airy and the staff are friendly, although it seemed at one point that a couple of them were trying to hard to 'make a good impression' and they needed to relax a little.

We had some drinks after the show and they are reasonably priced for hotel drinks. And then there was the breakfast. There was a very wide range of food available, and drinks. Being lactose intolerant it was a very nice surprise to have soya milk available for once in a hotel.

There is no doubt in my mind that this will be our new go-to hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
See you in September.

Good central base for Stratford Upon Avon. No parking but pay and display are close. Usual Premier Inn standards.

Stayed there last week for one night. Hotel is centrally located and there is a drop off point opposite for 20 minutes. The receptionist recommended we park at the marina, (next to Holiday Inn) which is£4 for 24hrs. Hotel is spotless and very comfortable for a so called budget hotel. They have a small bar/restaurant but we chose to eat at the Red Lion pub opposite which serves good quality pub chain food but the staff were really friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast at the hotel which is charged at £7.95 but Kids eat free when an adult eats there. Really good quality and plentiful. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there when again visiting Stratford.

Really enjoyed our stay for a shakespeare theatre weekend. Location was great, staff were very helpful, pre-booked a quiet room away from the main road in advance by email and the hotel was very welcoming and clean. Car parking was too expensive though.

Room Tip: Email via their website if you have any preferences eg ground floor room, quiet room

I have found Premier inns in the past to be clean and good value for money. For central Stratford this is a good choice. There is no onsite parking but the staff were very helpful in letting us know parking options on the phone before we arrived. Rooms clean and bed comfy.

Recently stayed overnight at Stratford-upon-Avon Central Premier Inn and was a bit dubious after reading the negative comments BUT believe me they are not warranted! The hotel is in a fabulous location (even for walking in ridiculous heels to a night out) has brilliant staff, great facilities and is only a 5 min stroll from the train station. I do agree about the parking comments as there is nowhere to park here but I travelled by train and didn't have to park so it didn't affect me. I can see why other guests were saying it is bad though as I wouldn't have had a clue what to do had I have driven here. The comments about the layout of the hotel are ridiculous to be honest....yes it is strange to see reception on the first floor but this is only because it has a lift from ground floor and stairs so there is no space to put a decent reception on the ground floor. You still have to go through reception to get to the rooms so what's the problem? The restaurant onsite is fairly small given the size of the hotel but it is adequate I would say. And it is right next to reception so its easy to get to. Other comments I've seen on here about the hotel being impossible to navigate and its layout being rubbish are just plain stupid. Yes the hotel is a bit different to others I've stayed in, and there seems to be more corridors than I've had before, but EVERY thing is signposted everywhere and you honestly cannot get lost! It is a hotel not a bungalow! The reason I always choose premier inn is because they are clean, comfortable, well kept, nice staff, lovely breakfasts and onsite pub/restaurants. Not because I want reception on the ground floor or less corridors. The location of this place is brilliant, no more than 7 mins from the train station on foot with a suitcase on wheels and right next to the river and all the local shops, attractions, plaves to see etc. A lovely pub/restaurant directly opposite called Red Lion with log fire, good food etc and another one behind it called Pen and Parchment if you fancy something a bit more traditional. All overlooking the river depending where you sit, and all a 30 second hop from the hotel. Lots of restaurants, cafe, tearooms, pubs etc, within a 5 min walk and unbeatable value for money if you book early. Other than the parking comments on here there is no truth in anything else that you will find as a problem. And I am VERY hard to please! I will be back here again very soon, and will be recommending this place to everyone. You honestly cannot go wrong! Oh just remembered, the check-in is via the machines but there is a member of staff who goes all through it with you while you are doing it. I was expecting (after reading comments on here) that I'd be left to do it myself and not have a clue but its not true, she went through each step as I did it and explained the options in full before I selected them. Literally fool-proof! It took less than 3 mins to do and you have the option of adding your meals at the time or later on so you still have time to decide after you've checked in. Get booking, you won't regret it. Lovely stay and well placed for all the sights.
