Stayed here last weekend with for a night when visiting the Christmas market. For a budget city centre hotel we were expecting it to be basic but it definitely exceeded our expectations.
The staff were wonderful and could not have been more helpful, they really were a credit to the hotel. Helping store our cases as we arrived early, giving directions to the christmas markets and main shopping areas, they were chatty, friendly and welcoming and went over and above what we expected. I just wish I could remember their names to say thank you.
The room was clean, well presented and as expected. Even though the hotel was quite busy, it was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Beds were comfy, the only thing I would change would be the pillows, one flat pillow wasn't very good for me.
The hotel is in easy walking distance to the main shopping areas, but the roadworks close by do make you go under a subway and alongside a building that looks like its about to be demolished, so we went the long way round after dark.
The free wifi was excellent, a definite bonus and the breakfast was plentiful, tasty and replenished quickly. I prefer continental breakfast so it worked for me.
A fab hotel, great value and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again if I was going to Birmingham for a short stay.More
