A friend and I visited here on a Saturday and it was great! Had a wonderful time, it sounds strange but all the staff looked professional and helped out when we got lost in the club (it was our first time!)

The rooms all had different music in so there would be something for everyone, easy to get lose after a few drinks, but a great atmosphere!

Drinks were averagely priced (4.60 for a big bottle of koppaberg) and no wait to get served. I would definitely recommend it and would come here again.

Was visiting Birmingham for a weekend so had to check out the scene. Went to Nightingales on the Friday to find it was dead with only one room open (the dingiest one). People don't go out on Friday it seems!

Went back on the Saturday on the advice of the bouncer and it was much better! The downstairs room is very nice, good space to dance but also places to sit. All 3 rooms were open on the Saturday but the other two were again empty. Music was good and mixed well. The club shuts at 6 but empties out by about 3.30... be aware!

A reputation across the UK is well deserved, the 'Gale' has been serving the LGBT+ community across thew west midlands for decades starting in the bad old days as a club owned by the membership but now owned by the same people as own the Loft, Village and a few other venues in the village. A lot of money has been spent to provide the best light and sound system possible, and an outside bar for the smokers is quite unique. Just a shame that they have now got rid of the old first floor piano lounge to become yet another dance floor so the oldies have one less venue to go....

Ridiculously expensive, stupidly long queues everywhere and unbelievably rude staff. Will not go there again. Nope.

Was there with a hen party to see The Pleasure Boys. What a disappointment. Introduced by poor drag act and there were only 2 pleasure boys. One was slightly manic and the other not sure what he was doing. Guess if you were totally inebriated didn't,t matter!!! Boring show. Not worth the money
