Currently trying to sleep at 2330. There is a wedding happening downstairs, and the combination of single glazed windows and a terrible DJ means that sleep isn't happening.
The hotel management must know that an event is going to happen and they must know that the events will be heard in the rooms so a bit of warning would have been appreciated, a poster in the reception would have alerted me to the need for earplugs.

Although the fact that nobody was around to check me in when I arrived the night before should have alerted me to the fact that the hotel is awful. Arrived at 2330 and a notice on the reception said to ho yo the bar for assistance. There was no one there. After waiting 20 minutes, with a queue forming of other people waiting to check in, eventually someone appeared, said they couldn't check anyone in and had to go and wake someone up!

Finally got to my room just before midnight.

The food was average, the room is shabby and the amenities are poor phone has a poor and crackly connection, phoned reception and could barely hear them.

Overall, hotel of last resort. A tent on the side of the road would have been more comfortable.

Had two rooms for two nights whilst attending a wedding at another venue. This is a pub/dinning hotel, located conveniently on the A27. Very friendly welcome at reception, had a ground floor and a first floor room, both reasonably sized, well appointed and very clean with tea/coffee facilities. The beds were comfortable and additional pillows available in the wardrobe area. (Note on the shower: great flow but fiddly to get the temp right as the hot water was at a volcanic temperature! OK once you get the hang of it) The occupants of the other room had dinner the first evening and were very happy with both the food quality and service provided. We all had great full English breakfasts on both mornings of our stay and again the quality and service was first class for this type of Hotel. Our stay was during the hottest day of the current heatwave and I request a fan for the ground floor room, which was promptly provided. Throughout our stay the staff were friendly and attentive and it is clear the management have a good grasp of providing first class customer service. Would I stay again, definitely!

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are at the back of the hotel, away from the busy A27 road noise

The hotel, food and service was very good value, my only concern was Room 19 is supposed to be non smoking, which it is, but unfortunately the staff or customers stand underneath it smoking, and it comes in the window, which you have to have open to let air in, as it can be stuffy. Also outside the room in the corridor it smells of cigarette smoke.Had it not been for this I would probably have given 5 stars.

Room Tip: Don't choose Room 19 if you don't want cigarette smoke coming in from outside!

Great place to stay. All staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and clean room.Had the Carvery on Sunday which was good. The breakfast was also good. Would stay here again if in the area. Is quite near main road but room at back so not a problem.Nice and close to Arundel Castle but was great not being in the town.

Room Tip: Few steps up to our room and no lift. was room 21. not problem for us.
