The place is marvelous it is so neat and well organized a huge garden in front and it's very nice from inside very luxurious and neat. It has several conference rooms and it's very great for courses and educational needs

Just come back from here! We booked it through booking .com as it was close to Harewood Hall which we wanted to visit! It was great for location. The place looks like a beautiful Victorian Mansion however from the moment you go through the doors it looked like my aunts care home! The place is a religious retreat and this is not very well advertised when booking! Our room was immaculately clean however after a long day at Nostel priory we wanted a cup of coffee in our own room, not to have to go to a communal kitchen along a corridor and carry cups through endless fire doors! The breakfast was excellent however! It's obviously been an elaborate home to Bishops of Leeds! It has its own grave yard with them in! It is perfect for Headingley town centre and cricket ground! But lacks any charm or character! Great place for a conference or ladies weekend away! We were the youngest people there and we are late 40s/50s! It is not the place for any couples wanting a romantic weekend away! Not a welcoming experience! Don't book our room 21 as it has a view of a tiled roof!

From the moment from checking in to leaving, I felt relaxed and wishing I was staying longer. The lady on reception was friendly, helpful, not rushed and all with a lovely smile. The room (suite - upgraded) was clean, bright and comfortable with a kitchen next door where hot drinks could be made at anytime of the day/night. Wifi was excellent and free. Parking ample. Breakfast excellent again in a relaxed room served with a smile. The whole building had a very relaxed and sedate atmosphere and I felt refreshed during my short stay (soon to disappear when traveling home on the M1) !!! Would definitely stay here again when in the area. Only 15 minute walk to Headingley stadium. Perfect accommodation and a reasonable price.

Went to Hinsley Hall for a Church retreat over the weekend 26 - 28 August. There were approximately 28 of us in all.

Accommodation was brilliant, food excellent, staff courteous, helpful and friendly in all respects.

.Our retreat was very special. God Centred. The atmosphere in Hinsley Hall was very helpful to the purpose of our time together

I stayed at Hinsley Hall with three friends for one night this weekend. We were visiting Leeds for a concert in Millennium Square and had left our accommodation booking too late to get the usual city centre Ibis type option. What a blessing in disguise that was.

This isn't a hotel as such but a Catholic centre with multiple bedrooms. It would appear to be more than welcoming to guests of all faiths or none. The place is full of character and the staff go out of the way to help. It was the little touches that made the difference to our stay, not least the tea and delicious cake on arrival!

Well located in lovely wildlife filled grounds (Fox, squirrels and countless birds spotted) Hinsley Hall is close to the cafes, bars and sports grounds of Headingley and only a short taxi or bus ride into town. The rooms were basic but spotless and very much fit for purpose at a reasonable rate. I'll be making a point of recommending this one to friends and wouldn't hesitate in stopping there again when I'm in West Yorkshire.
