Description: Pintura (Spanish for 'work of art') is a kitchen and bar concept in Leeds City Centre, inspired by our own experiences working and spending time in the food-crazed Basque region of Spain. Our aim is to paint an authentic portrait of Spanish tapas using traditional recipes and artisan ingredients combined with bold and modern flavour combinations. Located in the heart of the city centre in Trinity (behind Marks and Spencer), we are set over four floors with vibrant décor, evoking the feeling of San Sebastiàn. Our Head Chef Gregg is lucky enough to work with some of Europe's most incredible ingredients to create dishes that hopefully capture the spirit, passion and energy that the Basque people have for their food. The menu is modern, authentic Basque cuisine, inspired by the culinary epicentre of Europe. We have converted our basement into our very own gin bar, serving over 50 different gins including our very own, Portobello Road Gin. Our signature drink is the Spanish 'copa' gin & tonic serve - 6 different gins, served in our 21oz goblets to really compliment the botanicals of the gin, each with their own individual tonic and garnishes chosen to bring out the essence of each gin.

Called for lunch while in Leeds. Welcome was good and good explained. The lunch deal is good and we ordered a couple of extra dishes. Good that you can see the food being cooked. The cod and calamari were great, patatas bravas could have been a bit spicier. Overall very good, think it would be expensive on a night!

Expensive for what it was. Had better tapas elsewhere a lot cheaper. Service was good. Waiters friendly but £110 for two people
and one of them didn’t have a starter. Wow.

I've been to Pintura a few times. The food every time has been absolutely delicious, the service always good and staff very knowledgeable about the food. Unfortunately the last time I went the overall experience was let down by a really cold draft, which meant we were cold, the food got cold quite quickly and our red wine felt quite chilled! (This is apparently due to the extractor fans from the kitchen rather than controllable air con) - A minor thing really but we were a bit disappointed by it. On a happier note - the chocolate mousse is incredible!

The restaurant is in the centre of Leeds near to Marks and Spencer. Although a narrow front it is deep and multi floor. It has atmosphere and you can see your food cooked in the fully open kitchen. There is a wide choice in the menu plus a specials board with half a dozen more. We ordered five dishes between two which was plenty so that the dessert was hard to find room for. All dishes were hot and tasty. I particularly liked the belly pork. Altogether very good.
