I enjoyed a slice of cake and coffee just before Christmas so it was very busy but still very calm. There was a lovely choice of hot food as well as cakes and pastries.

I took my grandson to Salisbury for the day to experience the cathedral and to explore the history of the area.
After a wonderful visit to the cathedral, we wanted some cake and opted to visit the nearest place to the cathedral.
We all opted for "Green bottle" presse bottles, 2 gluten free chocolate brownies and a pistachio and rose water meringue.
Never, ever had I dreamt I would have had to pay £17 for those 6 items!
But we were tired and thirsty, so we paid.
The brownies were nice, the meringue was dry and not gooey inside, a real disappointment.

Never again shall I visit that cafe. Over priced for average food.

Sitting in warm surroundings and looking through the glass roof at the spire, disappearing into the bright blue sky, means there is likely to be a premium on the price of the Hot Chocolate.
However at £7.50 for 2 glasses, I thought it was a bit steep, bit like the spire I guess.
I can’t say it was good value, but it did taste good and the service was attentive and polite.

Sat here to enjoy the view and a tasty hot chocolate while warming up after a fascinating but chilly tour of the Cathedral. Staff were friendly, clean tables and chairs, and the gift shop is just next door when you finish your visit
