A place our daughter had been to a couple of days before hand with our grandson who was so excited he was going back. Spent yesterday here with our 2 grandsons aged 3 and 4. The easiest day we have had. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves in and out of the cockpits. Their imagination was on overload. We travelled all around the world and shot down so many baddies.. Don’t expect it to be a plush warm place as it isn’t. Just a typical cold hangar with old aircraft in but very informative and when it is chucking it down outside and you have 2 young children to entertain it is great. Found the cafe which is 5 min walk away and that was good too. So after a bowl of chips it was back for another couple of hours travelling the airways!!

Excellent facilities which they made available to us. We were a fifty string mixed party so we had dining tables in the lecture room. An external caterer, Hog n Spit, did wonderful catering and the BDAC people couldnt have been more helpful.

Really recommend them for functions

Staff were very friendly and informative, you can get in the cockpits and dress up in pilots overalls and helmet, brilliant day out.

My husband and I visited this museum on a rather windy and rainy saturday afternoon simply as something to do that was inside but actually found it to be more interesting than we thought. There are many different aircraft and cockpits on display and for the vast majority of them you can climb inside. Kids we saw at the museum particlarly enjoyed doing this but adults were encouraged to have a go too. Whilst visiting the volunteer staff were on hand to talk about the exhibits and answer questions and one took us out to see the cockpit of another plane (name escapes me!) and told us the whole history of the plane whilst we sat in the passenger seats and cockpit whicg was particularly interesting.

Although there was technically no place inside for us to eat our lunch, they allowed us to use the conference room. There is no cafe on site but a few close by and you can re-enter later the same day if you do want to go out for lunch.

Went to visit. Great to be able to get in nearly every cold war jet cockpit. Half term and the kids visiting loved being able to get in to real aircraft.
