My husband and I have just come back from our first experience dining at the Jade. It was excellent. We booked in advance, and I would recommend doing that on a Friday or at the weekend, but they were not busy on an early Wednesday evening. Service was friendly, welcoming and very prompt. The food came out piping hot.
We have been lucky enough to have a Chinese meal cooked for us in the past by a Chinese lady, and we both thought the food at the Jade reminded us of this home cooked meal. Very authentic. The vegetables particularly impressed me - very fresh, well cooked, but with crunch. Generally very good flavours, not overstated. We had a set menu (Menu B) which did not include any fish, but this is a restaurant with a seafood speciality - we just weren't adventurous enough to try it this time.
Admittedly prices are quite high, but the food is excellent quality. We will definitely return.
