We have called in here a few times on previous visits to Broadway.
It is just off the High street and unlike most other pubs on that busy stretch, this one is clearly a 'locals' place, though having said that, a very welcoming one. It is, in my opinion, a 'proper' pub. It's old, it's a little antiquated, it has dis-organised seating and tables, it is just ... an old 'pub' type pub. Nothing plastic or modernistic here. It has a good selection of real ales and they serve food too. A great place for a good old fashioned pint ....
Love it.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat, nice selection of real ale and lovely menu, we both enjoyed a light lunch and the dogs enjoyed some treats from the bar staff.
Would visit again if in town.

Had a great dinner here one night, the Worcester Pie, and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and warm. Do yourself a favor and stop in for at least one meal during your stay in Broadway.

My wife and I went for an evening meal here. Thursday evenings are Jazz nights here and tonight there was an excellent jazz trio. I had duck and apricot sausages and my wife had chicken breast with mushrooms. Both dishes were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive and there was a great choice of local ales. We’ve been to this lovely traditional pub before and we will certainly return again!

Worst Sunday lunch we've ever had.

My partner and I took our two Mum's for Sunday Lunch today (Sunday 25th March 2018)....but very soon wished we'd gone elsewhere !

We all decided to have the same meal, namely a traditional roast pork lunch.

All 4 plates arrived exactly the same, each with 2 slices of roast pork - wafer thin, 1 small piece of inedible crackling, 1 roast potato, 1 boiled potato and a dish of vegetables to share between two which I estimate was 1 sliced carrot, 50 peas and a spoon of cabbage and some watery gravy.

Needless to say, we were still hungry so reluctantly chose some puddings. A big mistake as these were just as bad.

Pancake with ice cream...stone cold pancakes ? Apple and cinnamon crumble with custard...v small portion and custard was just yellow water with lumps. Chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce...dry sponge...horrible sauce.

Did we complain to the owner/manager...NO...not because we didn't want too but because we were treating two amazing Mum's to what should have been a special lunch hence we didn't want to cause a scene, create a bad atmosphere or spoil the event.
Their attitude to a disastrous lunch was humbling as they didn’t make a fuss, were grateful for what they’d received and dismissed it as another of life's experiences no matter how bad. Mum’s are just great and we love you for it.

The Crown and Trumpet in Broadway should be ashamed of themselves offering such poor quality, poor value Sunday Lunches.

Note to oneself :-

1. Check Trip Advisor before eating out in future. On writing this review, I can see that I’m not the only unhappy Sunday lunch customer. Lots of similar one star reviews.

2. Price is not a guide or measure of quality or quantity. We could have got a much cheaper Sunday Lunch for better value and quality plus closer to home. This was meant to be a treat, not a disaster.

3. If your not happy, speak up immediately and if the problem cannot be resolved, WALK AWAY AND DO NOT PAY. We were ripped off and it still hurts.
