“A delightful property in a gorgeous village”
Reviewed February 10, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The owner Greg has really looked after this place and we loved our stay there. It's very close to the heart of the village and was clean, warm and finished delightfully.
We had a wonderful time there and would gladly visit again. Thank you Greg for making our time there so pleasant!

“Charming cottage”

Stayed here with friends and we were not disappointed. The cottage is in a great location at the top of Broadway high street. It's very comfortably furnished and en suite bathrooms to both bedrooms was a bonus. A lovely little garden at the rear (although it was too cold for us to use it in January) and a real homely dining area in the kitchen.

“Cosy Cottage”

Warm and welcoming cottage. 2 bedrooms both with on suite which made it perfect for two couples. Walking distance from all the local shops, restaurants and pubs in Broadway. Will definitely book again.

Glynn,
Really pleased you found "The Old House" warm and welcoming. We have tried to merge the old features of the cottage with the modern specifically with the two en-suites. No holiday let nowaways should have any less! One of the main reasons for me purchasing the whole house in 2011 was its location to the main village. It being at the quiet end of the village but minutes stroll into the heart.
Thank you for your kind review and hope to see you again

“A good choice in Broadway”
Reviewed September 17, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Overall, we had a lovely stay at this cottage and I would recommend for a short stay.

Pros included - the central location, cottage itself was clean and very comfortable for two of us, plenty of linen and comfortable beds, a lovely courtyard with seating in the back, parking available, very good communication from the owner beforehand.

Cons - just some small details really that stopped me from giving a 5 star rating - one lightbulb not working in the lounge, some loose fitting of bathroom fixtures with a random silver knob left on the windowsill (couldn't see where it had come from!), handwash in one bathroom not working, no tea or sugar (pre-arrival info said there would be some), and thin walls, so with a large group staying in the bay house next door, we could hear everything.

Bindi,
Thankyou for your review.
In response to your “cons”;
1. Light bulb was changed on the day you arrived as i changed it myself. It appears I may have a problem with the light fitting.
2. Will look at the loose fitting bathroom fixtures – will email you for more details as not aware of what you refer to.
3. silver knob. Cleaners didn't say anything to me and I have absolutely no idea what it would be from.
4. Handwash – They are new disposable bottled handsoaps from Sainsbury and we don’t open them before hand so can only assume that this one was either difficult to open or faulty.
5. Tea and sugar. Should have been there - will ensure cleaners always action!
6. Your major point regarding walls and party next door. They were a younger set than I normally receive and their noise was probably higher than one would normally expect.
I will ensure that, in future, I will make groups aware that their noise may travel!
Please accept my apologies.

My daughter & I stayed here for three nights it was absolutely wonderful!! A big plus point being the two ensuites which is a must for us ladies! The cottage is fabulous- everything you could ask for- with the most fabulous suntrap of a courtyard where we had our breakfast.......bliss!! everything you could want is here & Greg is the nicest man ( thanks Greg) book it quick before everyone discovers it. There is also an adjoining property which can be booked alongside for bigger parties. A gem.
