Perfect. Absolutely perfect! Whoever had the vision to refurbish this cinema was truly inspired. I would imagine nearby cinemas quaking in their boots as their regulars come to sample the Regal Experience.

“Lovely Cinema!”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

Paid my first visit to Regal Cinema today. Beautifully restored building, amazing seating (comfy chairs, table), cafe with gorgeous cakes and very pleasant staff. Wonderful to be able to order a drink and have it delivered to your table as you watch the film, Can't wait to visit again!

“Love the Regal”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

A totally different experience than going to a multiplex. The beautifully restored art-deco building sets the scene, the seating is luxurious, and the huge screen and sound system are excellent. Particularly enjoy being able to have a drink while watching the film, waitress service too is an assett. Many of the locals remember the old Regal and it is so good to see it come back to life. We keep going back and can thoroughly recommend it.

“A Luxury Cinema Experience!”
Reviewed 10 April 2012

A visit to this refurbished Art Deco cinema is a must. The whole experience of the luxury seating and general ambiance is amazing. You can either sit at a table with the bar for drinks and snacks, even light meals close at hand or sit upstairs with the same comfortable seats with masses of leg room. I have tried both and think I like the seats with tables as you can put your drink and nibbles on the table. Both sorts of seating give a different experience
We had glasses of wine which was good and my husband had beer which he also enjoyed. Tea and coffee can be ordered and this is served at the table so you can relax.
The screen and sound system are first class. You can linger for a drink or coffee in the bar or cafe and discuss the film with your friends after the film if you want to.
There is sometimes live music on Sunday evenings but I haven't been to this yet.
Look on the web site for pictures and programme.
I have been twice to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Exotic Marigold Hotel both good films.

“A friendly, luxurious cinema experience which should not be missed. No more multiplexes for me!”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

The owners of the Regal have lovingly restored this Art Deco treasure to its original beauty and more.

The enviroment is warm and welcoming and the staff couldnot be more helpful. The seats are HUGE , and cuddling up on the "love seats" with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee brought to you by a smiling usherette is fantastic.

There is loads of leg room, so even the tallest sprawler will be comfortable.

And there is free parking in the evening!
