It is quite expensive to get in but there is a lengthy explanation inside the entrance as to where all of the money goes.
We felt like it was just unloved and in need of some financial input and attention. Plants seemed to be overgrown, or dying and uncared for. There was a plethora of empty soil filled plant pots just lying around. Fruit left out for the butterflies was days old and smelt really bad.
What was more sad was there was there was a small fish pond with 2 large dead butterflies floating on the surface.
It was lovely to see some healthy butterflies flying around too and some crawled on our hands, there was also caterpillars which is a good sign.
The area with tarantula and scorpions etc was ok, but their tanks were small and didn't look very clean.
Just all looked really tired and in need of some love and care.
Lady on reception was very enthusiastic, well done you.

Thank Caperry

Another rainy day in Wales over the Easter holiday so we took the kids to see butterflies.
The place is small but well looked after. Lots of beautiful butterflies from all over the world.
The butterflies are well looked after.

I found the Information booklet lying on the side, wet and muddy. This could be put in a better place for the visitors to read.

The kids loved it and so did we. The entry fee is high but essential to sustain the facility. The cost of looking after these short-lived high maintenance beautiful creatures is higher than one would think.

Magic of Life is a wonderful little place in a beautiful location. It was such a joy to take time to relax with butterflies fluttering around me. The staff have such a passion for the project and I really enjoyed learning more about the plants and butterflies.

Only went because it was snowing. It is quite small but worth a visit. The young lady on reception was very helpful and being able to wander to my hearts content was amazing.

This is a lovely dog friendly attraction, perfect for a wet day. Yes it is quite small as others have mentioned but I really enjoyed walking around gently picking up the butterflies and admiring their fragile beauty.
It is actually a project helping to support butterfly farmers and communities in third world countries. There is quite a lot of information available about the work it does and the reason for the entrance price. It is a shame that some previous reviewers haven't appreciated the bigger picture and that this small attraction is trying to make a difference in the world.
