We called at the Anglesey Arms on our visit to Caernarfon, we both had beef & ale pie with mash 3 veg, it was really tasty and full of beef. The service was quick and the food hot, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a good meal for a good price.

Met up with friends for a one night stay at this hidden gem. The room was a little dated but comfy with plenty of space. The bathroom for room 1 is also spacey with a step up to the shower. Hospitality tray well stocked. The view from the two rooms in the bedroom was excellent, eagle tower from one window and the Harbour bridge plus Menai strait from the other. As you wake and look out of the window you can see Anglesey, the room is worth every penny for that view. Our friends at in the bar and said food and services was excellent. Their choice of gin is very good and I would recommend the raspberry Whitley neill. Afternoon entertainment in the form of a welsh folk band was an added bonus. We will stay here again but can only find booking on booking sites so will shop around for the best price, we paid £75 for a Saturday night.

Popped in today for some food but none available till 5pm.
Bought some drinks for 3 which came to £9 which seemed a bit for 2 soft drinks and a tea.

Bar was cold and filled with wasps and glasses were dirty. Checked dinner menu which a mixture of Mexican Welsh and Italian which seemed strange and prices were on the pricey side.

Tables outside were either dirty or people were getting bothered by wasps or seagulls.

Best avoided.

Fantastic location, just wonderful.
The room was basic, small and the finish was not of very good standard. The bathroom was very small and the shower fittings were loose. The room was clean and the bed was fine. The breakfast was good and most of the staff were friendly including the owner (Geoff I think),
We loved sitting outside in the evening, by the castle and the sea where the open mic night showcased some good local talent.

positives
bar staff all friendly, food excellent and not overpriced. Lovely breakfast. seating inside and out with entertainment at night on weekends. would stay here again but not in room 8,although this was clean and newly decorated.no idea who the hotel staff were.
got advice on a lovely walk to garden centre for warm scones following the coast.
negative
tiny room, just able to walk round bed. lived out of bags stored under the bed.there were a few hangers on back of door. bathroom had massive shower cubicle but tiny cloakroom sink. no toilet roll holder and nowhere to put towels, hope this is an unfinished room. the toilet has a noisy masserator.
mind your head on TV. really it should be a 3/4 bed max in a room this size.

Room Tip: dont stay in room 8
