Reviewed 17 November 2011

We stayed here on the 14th and 15th of November 2011 and had a great time. The host was very nice and helpfully - offering to book us a restaurant one of the evenings when he found out that we were engaged! We stayed in the Jury Room which was very cozy and romantic. The breakfast was good - a large amount and tasty. The views were fantastic and there are some beautiful walks around the B&B. The only tiny complaint I would have was that the shower in the Jury Room wasn't very powerful which would have been the icing on the cake after a long walk.

Bridge View B & B was in a great location and beautiful setting. Situated by the river and overlooking country fields it is only 3-5 minutes walk to all restaurants and shops. All rooms quite spacious and we had the Magistrates room which had a very comfortable bed and amenities. On arrival we were greeted warmly with offers of tea and coffee to be had in the sunroom with a view to die for. Breakfast was delicious with humour from the host thrown in. Keith was very informative of things to see and do in the area and beyond. We spent three very comfortable nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. Also, plenty of extra car parking available in a very quiet street. Would love to return one day.

We booked a short break at Bridge View B & B in Betws-y-Coed after reviewing half a dozen B & B's on the tourist board website. The building is one half of the old court building and our room 'the Magistrates room' was big enough with a large brass bedstead, and another single bed and an ensuite with a shower. The B & B is a little on the chintzy side with all kinds of china, pictures and bric a brac adorning walls and shelves. There is a lounge area and a birding room from which you can view the river and if very lucky, see a Kingfisher. Overall the welcome is warm and the owner very attentive and knowledgable about the local area and helpful with suggestions for days out in the area. The setting is quiet, away from the A5 which runs through the town and close to the station but only a few minutes walk to the restaurants and bars which provide a choice for meals both at lunchtime and in the evening. There isn't much of a car park but there are only a few rooms, and there is plenty of parking in the no through road location.

Bridge View was a real find. We were looking for a quality guest house with a friendly but discreet host... and we found it. Very central in Betws-y-Coed, but quiet and peaceful by the river. An excellent night's sleep, spotlessly clean and a cheery welcome in the morning from our delightful host, who was helpful in directing us to the local attractions and advised us knowingly on the local restaurants. A very comfortable room, with plenty of privacy, an excellent breakfast and a top host... we will definitely be staying again!

The Location of this B&B is really great - just around the corner from the town/main street. There are just three rooms in this B&B, two upstairs and one downstairs. Bedrooms were ok,typical b&b fare, and there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was good. Breakfast was at 8.30am - we asked what time it was served until and we were told 8.31! so no real flixability there. One of our party had not filled out the breakfast request form one of the mornings but went down regardless however there was no breakfast put out for them, nor was there an offer to prepare anything. I agree with the view in the earlier review that the food is probably prepared the night before...otherwise i wouldn't have thought it a big deal to throw on an extra egg/rasher etc...since you're paying for bed & breakfast regardless of whether you go down for breakfast or not there should be enough food to feed you should you choose to do so. Overall, for the price, i would expect food to be prepared fresh on the morning and for there to be enough food for all guests booked in.

Room Tip: the 'Judges Chambers' room has super king size bed - too big in my opinion but it also has...

From start to finish, we could not have wished for anywhere else so peaceful and accommodating. Without a doubt probably the best stay we have had in and around the Betws-y-coed area where we make at least on visit every year. The Magistrates room is clean and VERY comfortable and being overlooking the river provides a peaceful atmosphere only punctuated by the many birds singing and the babbling river.
The host (Keith) is a wealth of information both on local facilities and the much wider aspects of Wales.
We will be back again next year for sure!!!
