“Cannot be faulted”

My friends and I stayed in this cottage for my birthday recently and have not stopped raving about it since! The care and thought that goes into it makes it a perfect little getaway for families or friends. We arrived on the Friday to find that our food shop had been delivered before us and had all been put away, as well as a lovely chocolate brioche had been left for us!

The cottage itself is beautiful, the surroundings are picturesque. It comes equipped with everything you will need for your stay and my only negative is that I wish we could have stayed for longer! The big kitchen table allows for the whole group to sit and eat together And laminated walking suggestions help you decide what to do with your time.

I seriously cannot fault our stay here and we have all decided we will definitely be coming back as soon as we can!!!

“A lovely hideaway from life's stresses”

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at bron nant. The cottage is beautiful and very well kitted out for a self catering cottage. This is a place to come to relax and unwind. The setting is perfect, the views are beautiful we sat on the veranda looking out over the valley listening to the sound of the local sheep. All the reviews are right in what they say but there are a few things to mention... There is no mobile phone signal at all both in the cottage and village although there is free wifi in the cottage which is very reliable. The village has nothing in it apart from pub which is not open on a Monday or Tuesday and does not serve food. If you come here be prepared. Bring provisions with you or have shopping delivered as advised on the website for the cottage. The nearest shops are a drive away and are limited in what they stock and are very expensive as you would expect in a tourist place. There is a good stock of wine in the cottage which you can purchase for 5 pound a bottle or replace with a bottle of your choice. You have to pay for electric with pound coins via a meter. This is pricey having lived in rented accommodation the meter is set at a premium rate. For example a shower will cost you approx 80p per shower. When you are having 2 a day and there are a few of you this soon mounts up so make sure you take a good supply of pound coins with you. This is a realistic review the cottage, the surroundings and the experience is beautiful and I would recommend staying here and will visit again.

Management Response
17 Sep 2014
All comments most welcome and helpful.

Electricity meter set at 16p per kwh 3p over standard rate of 13p per kwh to cover standing charge.
Average electrical cost for a group of 4-6 persons £3.00 per day depending on use of oven, dish washer, hot water & tumble drier.
Meter installed because there is a significant difference in usage between 1 and 8 persons renting the property.
Mobile phone signal available in Cottage car park.
Local pub just changed hands and soon doing food.

Thank you.

“The Loveliest Cottage Ever”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We are just back from 6 nights in Bron-Nant and would have happily stayed a lot longer! The cottage and its garden with its stream and pool are fantastic, our 3 kids would have been happy to just play at the cottage all week, but since there are so many thing to see and do in the vicinity we felt we had to go out and explore as well... The area is absolutely beautiful, like a post card wherever you look. Great area for walking, with mountains, waterfalls, castles... you name it! The cottage itself is a little gem, you would happily spend a whole week sitting by the fire reading and listening to the rain if the weather was bad. We loved it, and will be back!

“A place of peace that releases one to think great thoughts"”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

From the moment I arrived and relaxed into the green leather armchair, I felt enveloped in the peace of the Welsh valley of Penmachno. Even though it was winter, everything was so enjoyable - the warm fire, the hot baths, the walks, talks and meals. A place to be enjoyed at all times of year by all age groups. Wonderful hospitality!!

“An amazing cottage for a weekend away from the big smoke!”
Reviewed December 4, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Wow.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights with another couple - one of which had stayed here before. Despite promising reviews, the cost had me apprehensive of the quality we would arrive to. But we were very very pleasantly surprised. The cottage is wonderful. A very homely feel.
We spent the majority of our stay here due to pregnant wife and colder weather, but we are certainly going to visit again in the summer. That said, the facilities are brilliant so it was perfect for what we needed. We had a cake baking competition, sat by the fire in the evening, had far too much to drink and went into Betws-y-Coed for a lovely meal.
I 100% recommend this and we look forward to returning again soon.

We stayed here for a few nights in june and felt at home as soon as we walked through the door and only wished we had booked a longer stay!!!

The cottage is in a beautiful location with mountains everywhere you look, you really will not want to return to real life once you have experienced what this place has to offer, it is no wonder it is so popular.

it is fully furnished and has everything you need for a stay here. The hosts are fantastic, very friendly but not intrusive!! We had a beautiful home made carrot cake waiting for us on our arrival which was delicious!!

The stand out feature of this place is the open fire!!! We lit this every night we stayed not because it was cold but because it was so lovely!!!

This place really is a little bit of paradise, needless to say i have already booked to come back in the winter!!!!
