“Rovers Returned”
Reviewed November 4, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

This was our second visit to this fantastic farmhouse property that has everything you could possibly need! 6 adults and two children accommodated with something for everyone. Games rooms 2 tv areas , quiet reading areas, huge dining kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms. To wake up each morning to wonderful views and the sounds of sheep baa-ing is bliss. Counting the months to our next stay.

“Fantastic country retreat great for all the family and dogs!!”
Reviewed October 24, 2014 for a stay in November 2013

Our family have stayed at Cwm over the same weekend every year for over 14 years. Cwm has evolved over this time to become an extremely comfortable and now luxurious country retreat that easily absorbs 8 family members of all ages and the dogs of course. Now the younger ones can do their thing in one large sitting room with Log Burner and the older ones can be suitably further away in the other large sitting room with open fire all meeting up for meals in the Farmhouse Kitchen. All the facilities are superb. Our challenge now is the family has now got too big even for Cwm and so we are renting another property that can take up to twelve from Cwm's owner.

“Delightful, spacious retreat, completely surrounded by scenic views”
Reviewed October 24, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Fabulous roomy property ideal for large families. Spacious yet cosy rooms throughout, with both modern and rustic features, decorated and furnished tastefully.
Large hallway ideal for dogs to sleep in and several entrance doors throughout the house for optional access points.
Plenty of sitting areas to enable large groups/families the choice of being together or spending time apart, even just to watch separate tv programmes at the same time.
The games room was our favourite room...having 2 comfy sofas, pool table, tv, feature log fire, and an overlooking mezzanine seating area too. Everyone intitally congregated in this room and initially forgot about the additional large lounge at the other end of the house!
We liked the secluded retreatness of the property with its 5 minute drive up the winding road through the farmland and streams, however this did make it difficult if you needed to buy any groceries as it requires a car to get to anywhere although shops were not too far away. On the plus side it was great for walking the dogs without leaving the grounds as its a good distance before reaching the main road and they loved jumping in the little streams there too!
The large kitchen diner has a table to seat 8 with room for more and plenty of kitchenware with a large fridge/freezer ideal for stocking up well to save on shopping trips.
All in all, a pleasure to stay at and would certainly recommend to others. It would be a perfect place at Xmas time although you would probably need a 4x4 vehicle if it snowed.
There is only one thing the place lacks, and that's a downstairs toilet, otherwise it would be perfect!

“Best cottage in the area”
Reviewed October 23, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The cottage was everything stated on line. Set in fantastic countryside, good for walking and our dogs. Everything we needed was there, all top quality. Absolutely spotless. The kitchen was well equipped and the large table meant we had great family meals around it. Lounges very comfortable with great log fires. The pool table was well used too,we had many a competition, lots of laughs. Bedrooms very comfortable and spacious. Have booked two return visits. Would recommend it for a group stay.
