Great way to entertain a 1 and 3 year old, so much to do and see, ideal if you want to sit with a coffee in the great coffee shop/ cafe. Kids loved it.

I have been visiting the Newport Wetlands since it opened. The site gives a good walk on the coast , but where are the birds? It would help if they put food out for them as they do at Slimbridge. The bird hides and viewpoints need some work to clear the reeds to open up the views. The cafe is nice but having the signage with Welsh first causes a lot of delays when ordering food. Finally the food is quite good but the cleanliness of the cups and utensils leave a lot to be desired. I don't think I will be going again as the last insult is the £3 car parking that has been introduced.

Lovely spot for taking the dog for a walk for an hour, nice scenery other than the pylons! My brother takes wonderful photos and managed to get a good shot of East Usk Lighthouse here!

Had a lovely day recently at the Newport wetlands albeit helped by glorious weather. Staff were very helpful, knowledgable about birds, cafe and shop well stocked with quality items at reasonable prices, children spent lots of time in playground and the wetlands looked very lovely in the sun. The walk to and along the rivers edge is lovely and could spend hours there. All of this for FREE! Car parking costs £3 but no entry charge.

I really don’t know what a few people here are complaining about. Recommend a visit but appreciate that nice weather can make a difference
