Good Breakfast, great staff very helpful. room small but comfortable. Quiet surroundings. All good cannot find 200 characters getting tired of the requirements. Still only 160 characters so I will say something else not sure what.

Room Tip: Not big but good beds

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Clyne. Members and Staff were all very friendly and helpful in every way. . Golf Pro booked us a tee time at another course so we could play on our way home. Good selection of food for breakfast and evening meal was well cooked and enjoyed by both of us.

Room Tip: Not large room but perfectly adequate for short stay. Good power shower.

Having recently stayed at Somerville lodge while on a golf break I can honestly say that I would highly recommend a stay here, the rooms are very clean and tidy and plenty of space. On our arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming and it remained like that all weekend, they really couldn't do enough for us, the food was of a good quality and plenty of it, we are looking to return next year.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, some have views of the golf course and some have sea views

Great venue for a group of friends on a mountain biking trip. Plenty of hot water in the en-suite showers, great view from the bar / eating area over Clyne Common and its golf course, good selection of beers, a snooker table for relaxation and a great breakfast.
Great walking and cycling from the doorstep.
Very helpful management and all the staff. Treated as members of the golf club even if you are only there for a few days

Room Tip: No view from attic rooms (5 & 6) if under 5'9

Booking was made a while ago for my wife and I to attend a family wedding. Making the reservation was straightforward and so all sorted. Youngest son, at Uni, then worked out he could attend. Contacting Somerfield Lodge and arranging an extra bed was no problem.

Booking in was via the Golf Club next door but was very efficient and straightforward. We were taken to the Lodge and explained how the Lodge front door works and shown to our room to ensure all was well. Extra bed was in place as promised.

Room, on the top floor, was well presented, all clean, tidy and recently renovated.
Only minor issue is that shower had a fixed / rain forest shower head, the icing on the cake would be to have a shower hose and handheld shower head as well.

Breakfast, held in the Golf Club Lounge on the 1st floor, is chosen in advance, i.e. what cooked breakfast you want, bacon, sausage etc and time planning to sit. Plenty of continental style breakfast available e.g. cereals, yogurt, etc. Tea and coffee (filtered) a plenty.
Cooked breakfast was presented on time and very tasty.

Check out was by 10AM but as the wedding wasn't due until midday, we hung around the Lounge until just gone 11AM.

Would I stay there again - yes!
