Booked to stay here for 2 nights, 25th and 26th April. This Travelodge has no parking facilities but it has an arrangement with City Car Parking that guests can stay for 24 hours for £6, which is good value. So before checking in we parked the car then walked to the hotel with our cases, it took about 10 minutes.

Take care when parking there are 2 car parks near each other we parked in the wrong one, this we found out when we checked in to Travelodge and asked the Receptionist to validate our ticket. We went back to move the car to the correct car park, which was around the corner, good job we as it would have cost £6 from when we parked at 19.30 till 22.00 when it closed and a further £5 overnight till 7.00 am and the £1.70 for every 3 hours after that. So this car park would have cost us £12.70 assuming we picked the car up before 10am.

The hotel is not too difficult to find, virtually a straight walk down the road from the car park. It is not the best view of Belfast, there were a lot of derelict buildings a few of which where being refurbished or demolished. Unfortunately the Travelodge was beside a building site and work started early on both mornings we were there.

There are no bar or restaurant facilities at this Travelodge, however there a plenty of bars and restaurants around within walking distance.

We checked in and headed up to our room  which was on the 5 floor and was adjacent to the building site. The room itself consisted of  an L shaped corridor with the bathroom on the left the straight on into the bedroom.

In the bedroom was an old water filled central heating radiator, which when turned on was noisey, sounded like a cistern constantly filling up. The room itself was rather small with a very small gap between the end of the bed and the wall made movement around the room very difficult even for a small sized person.

The light switch for the bathroom light was at the main door in to the room and not by the bathroom, rather difficult to get to in the middle of the night.

In the bathroom there was a large crack in the basin, there was an attempt to cover it up with white paint, it did not work. Also the plug in the basin did not work, it did not retain water. There were tiles missing underneath the basin. It was really small and pokey.

The ceiling in both rooms was a false suspended ceiling with panels, a lot of which were damaged and a bit ugly, clearly this building was an office before refurbishment and they retained the the ceilings.

The bed was reasonably comfortable and the room and bathroom were clear despite the other misgivings. Luckily as we were travelling about so we did not spend a great deal of time in the room.

There was free WIFI in the room but the best signal was standing by the doorway.

Have stayed in a number of Travelodges and this one was by far the worst it certainly was bottom of the heap and we paid £97 a night to stay here.

Our first time in Belfast. My husband and I spent a couple of days in Belfast and had a great time. A lovely friendly city with plenty to do. The travel Lodge was in a great location. We went on the Game of Thrones tour with McComb's coach company. A truly brilliant day out. Patrick the driver was excellent. To top it all the pubs with great fun!

I never hold out much hope that a Travelodge will give me anything other than a bed to sleep in but I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the one in Belfast. Friendly staff, decent sized room, clean, tidy and although I had to pay extra for the breakfast it was well worth it. Top full Irish with both white and black pudding. Would definitely stay again.
