Apart from poor quality of food which is over-priced, the fact that everything was served in/on disposable polystyrene added to the disappointment. Everything about this ‘cafe’ is incongruous to its museum setting. #irony

I had a quick bite to eat here before visiting the Ulster Museum. The Bacon and Brie Croissant looked good on the shelf so I ordered that with a coffee. The price was about right for this type of place. I managed a table at a window overlooking the botanic gardens. The croissant looked ten times better heated and was delicious. This is a good stopping off point if visiting the museum or gardens.

This is the café in the foyer of the Ulster museum. Having spent a few hours in the museum we decided on a quick snack and drink. The café serving area is not huge and perhaps because of this the serving is very disorganised with everyone having to queue together even if you only want a drink. Perhaps we hit the café at a bad time but considering it is open all day and we were only there mid-afternoon the variety of cakes and sandwiches on offer was very poor. The sitting area was also in disarray with tables full of empty plates and cups. With more thought and organisation this could be a much better café.

We had a lovely lunch on Sunday.
Everything was tasty and much enjoyed.
Service was friendly but a bit haphazard.
The only thing that let's the cafe down is the extremely utilitarian seating and the hit and miss table cleaning.

Just had my son's birthday lunch with 9 children here today. Best quality food for a children's menu we have had for a while. The staff were friendly and welcoming, i would definately recommend it.
