“Wonderful, cosy cottage”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We only stayed for two great value nights on a family trip, and really wished it could have been longer.

It's a pair of beautiful old cottages converted into one spacious holiday rental and set in some lovely countryside. The pictures really don't do it justice. There are four ensuite rooms and well-proportioned living areas with really comfortable sofas and lots of logs for the open fire.

A few essentials were thoughtfully provided, such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar and sachets of various marmalades and jams, plus it's only about a 25 minute walk at a leisurely pace into the village of Caledon.

The electric showers weren't particularly hot, but that's fine and infinitely preferable to the ridiculous scorching-hot-followed-by-freezing-cold dance you usually have to do under such contraptions.

The only real negative was that one of the mattresses that makes up the downstairs king-sized bed was quite springy and uncomfortable, but I'm sure that if Lord Caledon popped up to Ikea in Belfast, he could replace it.

I will definitely be booking again next time I'm over to visit family.

“The perfect cottage stay”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Goose Cottage is a light, airy and charming renovated stone cottage on a peaceful country lane surrounded only by fields with cows and the occasional pheasant wandering by outside. Armagh with its attractive Georgian buildings is not far away and the Republic of Ireland is just down the road. We loved coming home each day to our very peaceful haven and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
