We rented the house for a long weekend to coincide with a family wedding.
It has been renovated to a high standard, easy accessibility to Newcastle & surrounding area, fantastic views of mountains & estuary,
One of our party had to be left back to Belfast on Mon morning - easy 40 minute journey.
Ideal for anyone interested in birdwatching, beach walks, peace & quiet - yet only 5 mins from restaurants, bars, shops etc
Owners were most welcoming & helpful, providing cot, highchair etc at short notice.
A most enjoyable weekend, and we hope to return.

This was an unbelievable retreat to wind down and relax. The property was simply fantastic. It was open plan and very modern. Situated on the edge of Murlough Bay it gave us all opportunities to go on lovely walks to a near by beach. The property was just the perfect size and had plenty of space for young children to run about.
The retreat came with Wifi-Fi, TV stations and all other modern requirements. Watching the Sun go down right in front of the property is certainly a sight to be seen.
Would highly recommend this retreat, not 1 bad thing to say about our stay!
I could write for hours about the views over the Mourne mountains. We could post photos of the sunsets and the ever changing estuary that flows in front of the cottage. I could describe the abundant waders, plovers, egrets, ducks and gulls that fill each hour feeding on the flats and waterways.
But, I could never do it justice.
Just come over yourself and stay in this wonderful, wonderful house.
Sandra has built a home that will fill every wish and exceed all of your expectations. Everything works, from the WiFi, mobile signal, hot water, dishwasher and all the everyday essentials. Beautifully appointed throughout.
Lying in bed in the one of the front bedrooms, in the early morning looking out at a great view of the Mourne Mountains, the changing sky and the Keel estuary at high tide and the possibility of 6 or 7 swans gilding past is something to enjoy and remember.
All 5 of the Thompson family had a most enoyable time.
