During our recent trip of Scotland/Ireland, Amore (and all the people we met during our visit) put Derry as one of the top places we fully intend to visit again. We did N. Ireland by bus and it was an easy walk (caveat, we're carry-on only travellers) from the station to Amore. The stunning murals are just a couple streets away. Walking into the heart of town, just a few minutes. As two women, we use caution at night but felt very safe coming & going into town. EVERYONE we met while in Derry was friendly, helpful and interesting... starting with Joan & Barry at the Amore. The accommodations are clean, comfortable & roomy. The tea and biscuits accessible in the breakfast room 24/7 handle the late night munchies. Breakfast can be as simple as cereal all the way to a full Irish breakfast served to your liking. On the day of departure, we had to leave prior to the breakfast hour. Joan gave me a full tour of the kitchen and said help yourselves to whatever you like. Thanks, Joan and Barry, for making Derry one of our favorite stops on our trip.

Room Tip: There are some neighbors who come alive at around 11:00ish (coming home from work?) for about 10-20...

This is a great bed and breakfast , the location is the closest you will get to the city and lots off parking available. The owner is so friendly and helpful and the house is immaculate with lovely facilities for tea and coffee when you want. The double room was so spacious and had everything you would need even better than some hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast was delicious great choice off cereals and juices and what a breakfast so much and so so tasty will Definitely return to this gem perfect stay in every way

This B and B's location might put some people off but don't let it. You can park your car very closeby and walk into Derry in minutes.
Joan and Barry are very friendly hosts: the cuppa and biscuits on arrival was very welcome. Barry enlightened us into some of Derry's history too.
We were in the downstairs room and once we'd turned the heating off and opened a window the room cooled down. It was clean and roomy.
My only criticisms of the room would be that the bed is a little too soft for our liking and the power shower isn't!
Breakfast was very tasty apart from the sausages- I should know by now and not have one but I live hope that a decent meaty sausage will be used(however for £65per night perhaps I'm being mean).
I would however gladly recommend this B and B to anyone coming to Derry for the night.

Stayed here one night when in Derry. Great convenient location with parking easily available nearby. Very close to the city and easy to get to restaurants and bars. The hosts were lovely and informative about where to go for dinner and how to escape from Derry the next day! the room was comfortable and spacious. The single bed I was in was a bit hard but Ok. The bathroom was spacious and had natural ventilation. Breakfast was good. Recommended.

Amore B&B is very very close to the city centre (just few minutes of walk), with lots of parking spaces nearby.
The room we got was incredibly large ... very clean and well-furnished.
Breakfast was superb and abundant.
And the landlords are VERY VERY VERY KIND!!
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

The b&b was wonderful. The beds were comfy, the shower hot, the rooms clean, and the breakfast spectacular. The couple was on holiday but Joan's sister Joy filled in. She is lovely and a great cook. We had a traditional Irish breakfast which had more than we could eat. I particularly like the sautéed mushrooms, ham, and black pudding. The b&b is a five minute walk from Waterloo street, which is the area with all the pubs. Our favorite pub was O'Donnells. On the way home we had curry chips.

My girlfriend and I have just spent 2 nights at the Amore B&B. On arrival we were welcomed by Barry who was very welcoming, showed us around and gave us a map of the town centre and pointed out places of interest.

We had the downstairs room which was spacious and very clean, had a double & and single bed and was an en suite. We met Joan the next morning at Breakfest who cooked us a fry for breakfast, just the thing to get you going after a night on the Guinness.

Location wise it was great, walking distance from the city centre and just around the corner from the Museum of Free Derry and the Bogside murals. Do not be put off by it being situated on the Bogside, every Derry native we met was extremely nice and we met a few fascinating people when we were there.

Check out was at 11am but our flight wasn't until 8pm that evening but it was no bother for us to leave our luggage in the B&B whilst we done a bit more sightseeing and sank a few more Guinness before we had to leave.
