“Clean Stylish Hotel”
Reviewed 4 May 2012 via mobile

This new hotel is worth considering if visiting Aberdeen.

Check in staff were very nice and efficient on arrival and departure.

Room was well furnished and the bed and linen good quality. Decoration style was a bit red and loud for my taste but it's very modern.

Public areas nice and spacious.

Breakfast was only area I felt below standard. I arrived just before 7 am and there was a deffinate lack of staff. Had to hunt someone down for coffee. Additionally no one was clearing up vacated tables. Given the other high standards in the hotel I might put the breakfast down to a temporary glitch.
Cooked breakfast was average but pastries were delicious.

This is a standard modern hotel which because it is used mainly by business folk during the week is very good value at the weekend. We only had a problem with breakfast which was truly awful. The good thing was a manager came to see us and apologise profusely. He said he had only been there 4 days and seemed determined to sort things. The next morning things were much better so have to give him high marks for trying. We were on the 6th floor and had a good view down to the harbour and used the car park under the hotel which was fine.

spent last night in room 612 which was a superior room, robes and slippers were provided as was free wi-fi.
no complaints at all apart from the large bed which was 2 singles made up together, there was a gap down the middle and was very uncomfortable if you rolled onto it.
the breakfast was plentiful, the staff very friendly. would definately visit again if the bed was 1 king/queen size.

We stayed here as part of a superbreak holiday and it was the mystery hotel choice, the cheapest of the options. It was in a good position for a variety of eating options nearby. Although opposite a night club it was very quiet. No noise from the outside or within the hotel. this with comfy beds, good blackout curtains made for good nights sleep. The airconditioning was the quietest I have ever heard, or not heard in this case. Excelent breakfasts with enough choice not to get boring as we were there four nights. Everything in the room was good quality and worked. My only gripe was the lack a decent reading light.

Room Tip: we were on the 6th floor, it was very quiet and the lifts were very efficient

The hotel is nice, bright and modern and located in the city centre. Rooms are quite basic but clean. All the staff were friendly. We couldnt get the wifi to work but werent bothered so didnt ask about it. We ate here in the evening and the food was terrible, all frozen food which had been reheated. We also had breakfast here in the morning and it was the worst breakfast I have ever had. Would stay at the hotel again but would not eat here.

We visit Aberdeen quite regularly and have tried quite a few hotels but nothing comes close to the amazing value we got from Itison for a night's stay (weekends only). What's more, when our plans changed and I phoned up to see whether we could extend the stay for a second day, the response was helpful and a very fair deal offered. So the first thing to flag up is that we paid much less than if we had stayed in a Travelodge or Premier Inn.

The quality, though, was really first class. Our room (622) had a great view over Aberdeen, it was spacious, well furnished and comfortable. All the staff were friendly, approachable and professional. There was a great choice at breakfast and again the surroundings were pleasant.

I'll have to keep a particularly close eye on my daily flurry of deals from Itison, Groupon, LivingSocial etc in the hope that another deal appears here so that I have the excuse to make another trip to Aberdeen.
